Theme: Transparency
I wanted to do a black and white, light and dark photo with my wife in a transparent gown....but according to my wife, that wasn't going to happen...ever.
Woody however, was happy to stand in.
Tripod resting against the tree trunk, camera pointing straight up to the fungus which is about 3M up the tree.
Taken in the garden at Tring. The colourful yet simple contrast between the sky and the leaf compelled me to take this shot.

About Semuc Champey, Guatemala
Semuc Champey is a natural monument in the department of Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, near the Q'eqchi' Maya town of Lanquín. It consists of a natural 300 m limestone bridge, under which passes the Cahabón River. Atop the bridge is a series of stepped, turquoise pools, a popular swimming attraction. Although it can be difficult to get to, Semuc is becoming more and more popular with travelers.
Polymer Clay beads in Faux jade appliqued with transparent flower canes, round for necklace and discs for earrings, with metal and silk, closed with an antique stone (unseen) bead.
Now imagine how the city would look if it was this clear every day. The reflection of the clouds makes the building look almost translucent. That black speck is a bird.

The tulips were glowing in the late afternoon sun when I walked across the field to photograph them! :)
