This was a Translucent Blue that I dyed to make it Translucent Purple. The FHZ logo has a pink tint to it now. 2 of this color will be at Turf.
Plates made from a porcelain I've been developing that fires almost to a glass, has to be fired flat or in a mold. colored with Mason stains.
The tentacles widely diverge from their bases near the midline of the head.
When translucent, the muzzle may reveal dorsally the oral tube (1) leading from the mouth to the buccal mass, and the oesophagus (2) passing from it towards the stomach. On weakly pigmented, translucent specimens, the dumbbell-shaped, dorsal part of the nerve ring with two cerebral ganglia (3) may be visible. The ring encircles the oesophagus. It and its ganglia that innervate organs on the head are the nearest approximation in gastropods to a centralised brain, but other ganglia distributed on nerve cords around the body innervate other organs.

Richard Marks in his "Stained Glass in England during the Middle Ages" regards the central lancet of this Chetwode window as a touchstone for analysing the development of stained glass during the years 1250-90.
He notes that the Augustinian Priory of Chetwode was founded in 1245 and recognized as a royal foundation, receiving endowments from Henry III. He dates the glass here to between c.1270 and 1280. Though now forming the centre light of the south chancel window, until 1842 -it was in the east window of the church. The overlaying of one geometrical shape on another gives the impression of several planes of glass.
The light consists of grisaille with stylized leaves and stems arranged in roundels and otherr geometrical shapes. There are also two vesicas containing an archbishop and St John the Baptist. The Chetwode grisaille differs from earlier English ornamental windows in the the foliate designs are no longer mainly made up of deparate groups confined within the geometric shapes, but rather stems cross the main lead lines to hint at an overall scheme for the light. Secondly, here at Chetwode cross-hatching in abandoned in favour of clear grounds, thus increasing translucency.
In the figure of St John the Baptist we see the calligraphic, multiple folds of the first half of the thirteenth-century replaced by crumpled and heavy draperies, the so-called broad-fold style. The figure also has an elegant swaying stance. The broad-fold style originated in painting and sculpture at Paris, Amiens and Rheims in the 1220's and 1230's.
Client needed curtains to block out some light, and peep shows in bathroom. I chose a hemp silk, (would've preferred to match the color of the bathroom more...!).
Her socks have been taken off and laid down next to her.
My newly acquired 7'' NECA Sweater Coraline Bendy Doll has been deboxed and is photographed in various poses from all angles. She is an excellent facsimile of the title character of Henry Selick's 2008 stop-action animated movie, and was originally released just before the movie came out.
My new Sweater Coraline is came with a couple of issues. There are a couple of minor scratches on her face, and her left eye was off kilter. Thankfully I could adjust the eye with my finger nail gently nudging the eye. Her neck joint was also rather loose, so it was easy to accidently knock her head off its pose while positioning the rest of her body. But I am very happy with the quality of the doll, and the defects are very minor.
Sweater Coraline comes with a pink sweater with red stripes, blue jeans, and yellow socks over her feet. Her face is round, with large movable eyes, freckles, small pointy nose, molded blue translucent hair, and a nicely detailed dragonfly hairclip. She has an anxious, unhappy look on her face, with her pale pink lips in a pout.
She has a ball joint in her neck, and rotating wrist and ankle joints. She has real feet under her socks. I've discovered that both her feet and hands are easy to pop off and snap back on the small pegs that form the ends of her arms and legs. Her limbs, torso and neck are all bendable, with support wire inside her very skinny body.
She comes with a doll stand that has a black base, and a steel wire that clips around her waist.
