One of the amazing features of the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library: sunlight fliters through the marble panels which form the walls ~ Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut

The 'Biggles Biplane' is a replica BE 2c created from a Tiger Moth airframe in 1969 for a Biggles film. The film was not made, and the aeroplane was sold to the USA, crashed and recoved 6 years ago. What is so nice about the story is that she was recovered by Matt Bodington, son of Charles who built her. ( Very simplified outline story only!)

I have no comment. Wait a second. If i say that I have no comment, isn't that commenting on my lack of commentary. My brain is confuzzled....^-^

one bead sanded and buffed. Once buffed, looks like a marble. Hard to see in photo.

I love the way the light pours through the upper leaves

In Jerusalem we are blessed with many cloudless, sunny days per year. The light is often harsh, and we find ways to work with it photographically.

One click on the image brings it up to size... See lovely detail ;-)

Jerusalem temps are in the high 80's/f today... Have a great Thursday!

It's fun trying out new colors for the custom Blythe faceplates I'm making. It's been quite a challenge to make the mold, but so exciting to have been able to accomplish custom Blythe faceplates that also have the sockets for the eye mach, the screw points and a nice consistant result

A mantis emerged from the morning chill to catch the warm of the sun. A very hot and intense sunlight indeed but a clever improvisation, to loll at the bottom of the leaf for the gentle glow. The diffused sunlight cast the right intensity with gentler warm, accentuating the translucency of colours.

Dead trees host more life than live ones!

Is it all the rain that has made these flowers look papery and almost transparent?

She arrived with some pre-existing conditions, scuffs from sanding, loss of makeup.

But I still love her dearly.

Miracles in Disguise

Beneath the veil of daily haze,

Lie wonders wrapped in humble ways.

A fleeting moment, a whispered breeze,

Miracles travel in quiet degrees.

A child’s laugh, the morning dew,

A sky that shifts from gray to blue.

The dance of leaves, the warmth of sun,

Each fleeting gift, a silent one.

But oh, how swift the gaze can pass,

Over treasures hid in shadowed glass.

Eyes too busy, hearts too fraught,

To hold the miracles we’ve sought.

So pause, look close, let stillness guide,

See the beauty where secrets hide.

For life’s great wonders rarely shout,

Their power lies in being found out.

Take not for granted what softly sings,

For disguised are the greatest things.

a poem written by the neural network known simply as ChatGPT, idk how it works but sometimes it comes up with astounding words. depends what you ask for it will write accordingly. incredible, i´d say. lets see what it says about this image as well..

...

here's what it said:

"Four vibrant green leaves hang gracefully, their intricate vein structures illuminated by soft backlighting. Each vein forms a mesmerizing, lace-like design, almost as if sketched by an artist's hand. The light filters through, highlighting the translucent texture and revealing the complexity of life hidden in the simplest forms. The background blurs into a gentle haze, drawing attention entirely to the leaves, which appear to float effortlessly in their own serene world. It’s a quiet reminder of the elegance and miracles found in the unnoticed details of nature."
