the cicadas were very loud early in the evening, and then later I found this one under my outside light.
I found this while looking at something else entirely on a microscope slide.The slides were packed away for many years, and I guess this beetle found his way in.This was one tiny beetle.
Challenge week 7
Well, I had to give it another go - found these flowers yesterday in the garden, hidden behind some large bushes and weeds. After I had trimmed everything away that was obstructing the view, the most beautiful flowers became visible..... (and invited themselves for some photoshop work :-)
Used texture TinType 1900, but had to blur it a lot, as it was just too harsh...
Nikon D3X, Carl Zeiss 25mm f/2.8 ZF2
+ no post processing, no cropping, these are all straight out of camera jpegs
+ this lens is so good that the jpegs look great :). The images has the look of E6 film, maybe a bit like Kodachrome...
Trying out my upgraded version of Photoshop CS5. The content-aware fill doesn't behave exactly as I had hoped, but it did enable me to easily remove a bug from this flower that I had found difficult to remove with clone stamp.
