Glass block window in our bathroom. This is the first house I have owned with these type windows. It's kind of cool because you can sort of see whats out side but not too clear. And amazingly enough they don't transmit a lot of heat. This window is over our tub which never gets used.

it's been really hectic over the past week plus...
I brought a stray i've been feeding to neuter, (some of you may know him, it's the little one-eyed kitty, Du Yan) and he's staying temporarily in my house now to recuperate from the operation, creating much confusion and high emotions among my other 4 cats. it's been really hard to try and take care of him and comforting all the rest that it's all right. i really hope they get along but they, including Du Yan, all seem so traumatised! :(((
Plus my school work is working its evil voodoo now, so i really don't have the luxury of doing my fav flickring...
AND my precious camera was sent to Olymous due to a broken USB connector..i got it back today BUT i just found out it doesn't even switch on now!! <:(
i'm going to send it to them again over the next few days..fortunately, there's still my trusty but never rusty phonecam here.. :)
I'm really sorry that i don't have the time to pop by to all my friends right now, and argh i know i'm missing out a lot! But I promised to myself i will definitely satisfy my flickr addiction and pay all my friends out there a thorough visit once my life returns to a more normal pace.. :D
Cardona is a town ìn Catalonia, Spain, in the province of Barcelona; about 90 km (56 mi) northwest of the city of Barcelona, on a hill almost surrounded by the river Cardoner, a branch of the Llobregat. To the east of the town, the river has been diverted through a tunnel has been dug through a spur, leaving a loop of dry river bed near the saltmine.

Near the town is an extensive deposit of rock salt. The salt forms a mountain mass (called Muntanya de Sal) covered by a thick bed of a reddish-brown clay, and apparently resting on a yellowish-grey sandstone. It is generally more or less translucent, and large masses of it are quite transparent. The hill has been worked like a mine since Roman times; pieces cut from it have been carved by artists in Cardona into images, crucifixes and many articles of an ornamental kind.

The 14th-century Romanesque Church of St. Vincenç.
The Church of Sant Miquel, built in the 11th century and rebuilt in the 14th century in Gothic style. It houses a precious polyptych by Pere Vall, depicting St. Anne, the Virgin and St. Amador, and a 15th-century baptismal font.

La Iglesia de Sant Miquel, construida en el siglo XI y reconstruida en el siglo XIV en estilo gótico. Alberga un precioso políptico de Pere Vall, que representa a Santa Ana, la Virgen y San Amador, y una fuente bautismal del siglo XV.
