This is my Macro Mondays contribution to the theme 'Translucent' . A slice of tomato backlit on a low key background. HMM
It means light, delicate and translucent. I had to look the definition up. The flower is a Golden Plume (Schaueria). I had to look that up also, but titling it "go look it up" didn't work as well. Photographed at the butterfly exhibit in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, March 2022

This soapstone water-dropper is a small device used in East Asian calligraphy as a container designed to hold a small amount of water. In order to make ink a few drops of water are dropped onto the surface of an inkstone.

I didn't see what I believe is this translucent butterfly, feeding on the stamen of this Trillium plant, but the lens did! I took this in our local Richfield County Park, at April's close, April 30.
Little egret (Egretta garzetta) opens wide while fossicking for food near the mangroves that line the Currumbin Creek Estuary and Beree Badalla Mangrove Conservancy. In the early morning sun on the Queensland Gold Coast.
