Yet another one from the collection. This time it's a vintage (although probably not too old) Japanese millefiori glass button, which is about ¾" wide. It's leaning against an opaque glass perfume bottle. I've gone for simplicity this time. :)

The humble nasturtium

For MacroMondays - theme : Translucent.

Nikon F3, Micro-Nikkor 55/2.8, Fuji Superia 400.

Translucent with large white area on carapace and another on abdome. Red speckles cover legs, eyestalks, antennae and claw arms. Commensal with corals Heliofungia spp and Goniopora spp. Lembeh Strait, North Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Each die is .5-inches.

Two Nikon SB900 and one SB700 speedlights, all with snoots, were placed 90-degrees camera left at camera level, and side-by-side, illuminating the dice and the background beyond. The two SB900's were closest to the camera and set to Manual mode @ 1⁄8 power. Furthest away was the SB700. It was also in Manual mode and fired @ 1⁄16 power.

The SB900's were triggered by three PocketWizard PlusX's; the SB700 was put in SU-4 mode and was triggered by the other flashes.

Two illuminated pushbutton switches showing off their colorful translucent button caps. The set is similar to ones I photographed in 2016 and used as the cover photo for one of my albums, but these use LED light sources instead of traditional incandescent light bulbs.
