BNSF Transfer Job interchanges with NS at North Yard in Birmingham, AL. I don't particularly like the door being opened on locomotives for my photos, but it is what it is, it's more tolerable on conventional cabs than it is on widecabs.

Quaboag Transfer Co. was a lumber distributor located in the Bondsville, MA industrial just north of Palmer, MA. The park served several industries including Maple Leaf Distributors and a carbon dioxide facility. Instead of paying the CV to provide contract switching, owner Kirk Bryant purchased GP-9 1701 from the P&W RR to switch the park. The former PRR-PC-CR 7189 was well travelled when it arrived in the mid 80's. Business was brisk and only improved, as he leased 2 CV RS-11's 3606-3611 for his dedicated lumber train, the "Quasar" which operated from St. Albans to Palmer transporting loaded truck trailers with fresh Canadian timber. The train operated until 1988 when things went sour. Today, the QT is no more, and the park has only one customer serviced by the NECR. Here QT 1701 in fresh candy apple green switches the park in November 1987.
