The DeHavilland Beaver floatplane I was flying for a charter to Alderbrook Resort on Hood Canal, WA USA. The Brothers mountain in the background, part of the Olympic Mountains.
Such a wonderful morning to be out. One of the best hours photography in a long time and so unexpected. This is the boatyard at the end of Ullswater and it was just starting to emerge from the mist.
This was my first experience camping on an island. My friend and I took a water taxi to get to this island called Sucia Island, which is among the many islands in San Juan Islands area in Washington State. This image was taken right next our camping site overlooking the echo bay just after sunset.
The original photo was of metal sculptures as we entered Spokane. Photoleap was used to create this image with elements of photos that I have taken.
Almost the same view as before... just during day.
Ruhe
Fast der gleiche Blick wie vorher... nur am Tage.

Calm lake in Hyde Park. I took the picture in a 30 sec slow shutter speed, as I placed my camera on the pavment.
free from disturbance; calm
Calm and peaceful sunrise. This is the last frame in a time-lapse experiment from that morning.

A view from my father's property in NSW - it seems to get better every time I go home and panoramic captures it so nicely.
BAGAN PASIR, KUALA SELANGOR
February 6 2008
A late afternoon view of a fishing village in Bagan Pasir, Kuala Selangor.
In the next few posts, I will share some of the photos that I took with two of my friends at this fishing village in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia. Please bear with me and I hope I will not bore you, :-)
The begining of my walk across the Southern Ridges of Singapore. This lake is at the foot of Kent Ridge close to the Subway station of the same name.
The Southern Ridges comprise of 10 km of green, open spaces that connect Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, HortPark, Kent Ridge Park and Labrador Nature Reserve, providing huge interest for walking enthusiasts, history buffs, shutterbugs, nature lovers, bird watchers and families looking for a different kind of family outing.
Steeped in history and one of the best spots in Singapore to enjoy panoramic views of the city, harbour and the Southern Islands, the Southern Ridges is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna.
An absolutely gorgeous beach and no one around except us and a few seabirds such as the American White Ibis below. This was taken around American Thanksgiving ... the weather was a bit chilly by local standards but for us Canadians, it was lovely! We knew what we would be facing in a few weeks back home ...

Forth and Clyde Canal, Hungryside, Kirkintilloch
I've been getting mightily pissed off lately, driving 30 miles up to the Trossachs only to have the "very promising sunset light" disappear before my very eyes as I drive into Aberfoyle, so I thought I'd stay a bit closer to home.
The light wasn't particularly good last evening, but when you're faced with the alternative of watching "Britain has got no f***ing talent whatsoever - if you doubt that, then watch this" (or whatever it's called) on the telly, it's any port in a storm. The light didn't really improve, but I was lucky enough to catch a beam of sunlight peeking though a break in the clouds and managed to get this chocolate box shot.
Just as well really, because a couple of minutes later, a motor launch full of pissheads decided to ruin the tranquility by screeching to a halt (or whatever the nautical equivalent is) right next to me and attempting to perform a three-point turn while simultaneously (a) attempting to impress me with their linguistic skills and (b) pitching a succession of empty bottles at some ducks. And you wonder why I hate people ..
Just in case I meet them on a future visit, does anybody know where I can get some reasonably-priced stun grenades?

This may look like an idyllic landscape, but off to the left you can just catch the signs of clouds massing. Ten minutes after I took this shot we were driving through a mighty downpour. I'd like to say that ten minutes later it all cleared away to leave a sunny afternoon, but no. That's when the thunder cracked and the rain came down even heavier!
Scotland. What did you expect?

In the nature reserve(I like to call it my secret garden), I very rarely go down this part of it, even though my favourite gate is down in this bit but I did the other day, I will never get bored of exploring this place.
