The Central Tramway Company, established in 1881 in Scarborough, is the UK’s oldest surviving tramway company. The tramway was originally powered by steam, making it unique in Britain, but this was replaced by electricity in 1920 when it was linked to the town’s road tram system. When the town’s tramway system closed in 1931, a 60bhp electric motor was installed by Hudswell, Clarke and Co.

The mountain ridge of the "Ritten" is accessed by a meter-gauge interurban tramway that connects the main villages of Oberbozen and Klobenstein. This section is the remaining part of the former Bozen - Klobenstein tramway with a long rack section. The set shown here is on the short section from Assumption of the Virgin Mary to Oberbozen, which is now only served a few times a day.

An early start in Saltburn by the Sea. I have tried on numerous occasions to get this shot and for once the stars were aligned and I arrived at 3:45am to a high tide and gorgeous sky. Its a cliche shot, I know but one I have had on my list for some time. Hope you like.
