Photos with case story from the community level injury and trauma management training which concluded in February 2016. Conducted in 7 districts (14 in total) of Nepal by TLM Nepal, in collaboration with CBM (donor), Government of Nepal's Ministry of Health and Population, Handicap International and HRDC. Great example of TLM Nepal's foray into disaster risk reduction (DRR), connecting disaster training and leprosy education for community health workers.

As Noah busked, this guy showed great interest in contact juggling and the balls used for it...
I know, kind of a strange photo... *shrugs*
I was photographing a promotions and commendations event for a local fire department. I spotted this young firefighter, who I believe is still training, Hanging out, apart from the older crew. They were all very good with the trainee, fist bumps and hand shakes, but sometimes when you're new its hard to feel like you're part of the group.

Spent 2 hrs 15 mins at this carpet "factory". Apart from the women learning to weave carpets we saw no evidence of any carpet manufacturing here - just felt like a very large carpet warehouse. The introductory talk was very interesting but then, for us not interested in buying a carpet, it was so BORING hanging around. Made worse by the fact that Fatih, our guide, did not tell us when we arrived how long we would be captive here.

His name is Soe Thura Htun, he's 12 years old next month, and he was helping his mother in the family jewelry shop in Aung San Market in Yangon. He had total self-confidence and pretty good English, because he attends a private school. He handles the foreign tourists side of the business - I ended up buying something from the shop, just because he was so charming.
STH to me: Are you a Christian?
Me: Yes - how about you?
STH: No, I'm Chinese Buddhist.
Me: Oh, so you have a Chinese name?
STH: I used to, but I forgot it.

Gliding Club of Pakistan (GCoP) is an adventure sports club primarily focused on free flying. This is one of the few clubs in the country which has the infrastructure and resources not only to host and organize gliding expeditions to various sites of Pakistan, but also to offer a variety of courses of free flying. The club has developed a number of training sites for beginner and intermediate pilots to master their skill of flying. We have experienced trainers who have been flying paragliders, hang gliders and motorized gliders for years and are experienced in offering these trainings in Pak Army training school as well.
