Another few shots from the Red Arrows yesterday. The display was superb, as usual, and I know this isn't a real mistake, but you do know how I like titles...

The second of the two ex-London B7s at Grantham is 932, which is captured here at Wilsford whilst working the 1430 27 from Grantham to Sleaford - thanks go to my trainee who didn't mind me grabbing a photo!

Both are lovely vehicles to drive, very smooth on acceleration and braking, and neither feel 16 years old from a driving perspective at all.

I stumbled among this troupe of young trainee monks outside a temple in Mandalay. They looked all the same in their robes and with their bald heads. At the same time, their various expressions and personalities were kind of expressed in a subtle way. During my few minutes watching them, they never said a word, never budged, just looked at me with a unique curiously.

This is a rare sight even in South-Africa, they seldome appear in public while in training.

Out with the Crediton Photography Club crowd!

'Mummy, can I take my apron off now, I've finished the washing up?'

'No, darling, you've lots more housework to do,'

'Please, mummy!'

'You'll have to get used to wearing an apron, sweetie, you must keep your pretty dress clean when you're doing your household chores.

Me on a London Bus driving experience... only hit 1 set of barriers

Buster, a service dog in training, visited the farm today with his handler. She wanted to expose him to animals, so he could get used to them. He is being trained in the NEADS program, which has incarcerated individuals provide socialization for the dogs during the week. On the weekends, the dogs spend time with specially trained Weekend Puppy Raisers.

Buster enjoyed his visit at the farm, meeting Hildegard the goat and admiring the alpacas. I'm told he has a bright future ahead of him.

New as a Western bus, this Leopard had latterly been a training bus with Mainline, and was received in their colours. It was repainted at Dalkeith into this allover white scheme which was also used for coaches. From memory it spent more time parked up at Dalkeith than it did with trainees aboard.

I had a photoshoot in a golf course. In between holes, I took a picture of this lady—she's been training as a caddie for a month. At least she seemed to have nailed the form factor.

During my first day as a trainee driver, I headed to Carlisle where I had a bit of time spare. DRS 88001 lurks in the shadows hauling 88006, 57305 & 66431 from Kingmoor to Crewe Gresty Bridge as 0Z04.
