Accelerating out of P4 and past the Panel Signal Box, LNER "trainbow" no. 91121 departs Peterborough with 1D09, the 1003 IC225 service from London King's Cross to Leeds.

Striped at each end with a "trainbow" to show support for the LGBT community (including within GWR itself), GWR no. 800008 waits to depart P5 at London Paddington with 1B59, the 1645 IET to Swansea. 800021 would lead the train.

A quick grab across platforms at Reading, 800008 'Alan Turing OBE FRS' departs with 1C15, the 13.00 London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads service.

Despite spending what feels like half my life above the SWML I still hadn't managed to photograph South Western Railway's Trainbow Desiro. Today I got it, brightening up a dreary Potbridge working 1W56, the 10.20 Weymouth to London Waterloo service.

With only 3 days to go before the East Coast franchise expires on 23rd June & reverts back to public ownership for the 2nd time within a decade, 'Electra' 91103 (named Celebrating Pride & adorned with extra vinyls to mark Pride Month; this gay boi approves!) pushes 1E19 into Waverley's eastern approach tunnel running underneath Edinburgh's Calton Hill, bound for London Kings' Cross (calling at Berwick-upon-Tweed, Newcastle, Darlington & York); DVT 82224 was at the head of the train.

This "trainbow" had seven locomotives, including CP, KCS de Mexico, KCS in new and "grey ghost" colors, plus CSX.

66617 passes along the river Teign on a calm bright morning with the 6Y97 Laira junction to Westbury with a partial rainbow on the left.

A pair of SD70 rebuilds lead CSX train Q694-13 as they clop over the defect detector and Toe River Road Crossing in the small community of Relief, NC. A 30 minute "Thunderboomer" passed through Northern Mitchell County about 15 minutes prior to this train's passing, leaving behind a vibrant half rainbow.

Thameslink 'Trainbow' Class 700/1 No.700155 brightens up a drab autumn's day as it approaches Holme Green crossing, between Langford and Biggleswade, on 8th October 2021 with the 9J20 08:23 Horsham to Peterborough.

Virgin East Coast loco 91103 with freshly applied name 'Celebrating Pride' passes Eaton Lane with 1S25 the 1630 Kings Cross to Edinburgh on 23rd May 2018.

To mark Pride month across the nation, Virgin Trains East Coast revinyled 91103 with "Love Is Love", "#trainbow" and "Celebrating Pride" transfers on the bodysides. Keeping with the times...

 

The loco can be seen atop Mk4 set BN13 (DVT 82213 on the rear), preparing to work 1D27, the 1818 express IC225 service to Leeds.

A feature in parts of the UK rail network is the presence of 'Pride' branded trains, including Trainbows, in support of the LGBTQ+ community.

 

The example from Greater Anglia is a little more subtle, with the word Pride in the related colours of the unified LGBTQ+ flag on the 2 ends of unit 720506.

The rather fetching rainbow livery applied to Class 800 unit 800008.

Great Western Railway 800008 adds a splash of colour at Lower Basildon working 1A15, the 11.30 Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington service.

Currently carrying vinyls to support Pride, 800008, also known as Trainbow, brings up the rear of the 1L68, 13:29 Swansea to London Paddington service as it heads east at St Georges headed by 800010.
