There's never a train around when I need one. If Amtrak hadn't left Chicago an hour and a half late and continued to lose another hour en route, Eric would have been coming under this perfectly positioned rainbow at this exact moment. Pity.

One of my reasons for building British Locos has always been liveries. Just so many fantastic options for color and display.

I’ve tackled building in multiple liveries in the past, but now with a few years of building experience under belt, I really want to try some old builds again (like the pannier, the N7) and see how big this Trainbow can get :) I’ve got ideas for dark brown, lime, purple, and light blue. But any other ideas y’all can think of please let me know! (I need an idea for yellow or tan!)

Metra 408 and its outbound Milwaukee District West Line train were just a few minutes too late to pass under the complete rainbow that had formed and lingered for an impressively long time, but I'll still take it! Incidentally, the last "trainbow" I had the pleasure of witnessing was back on the first of June, not far north of here at Schiller Park.

I wore this awesome rainbow dress back in May, but had selected it for this years Frocktober long before that. And here it is, making its Frocktober debut. In honour of the occasion I dressed it up with gloves, a belt and a parasol.

Like it? Then I'd really like it if you made a small donation to the work of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, because that's why I'm giving you this current dazzling selection of pictures. Donating is easy and you can do it va this link:
