New River Trail is one of the State Parks in Southwest Virginia. It follows the New River with stops along the way. The most popular stop is near Max Meadows, VA.

This is NOT an official "trail," and that by hiking here, you do so at your own risk. I did the hike with Jeremy a knowledgeable guide at Kauai Hiking Adventures. Kalepa Ridge hike will take you along the ridge line between Honopu and Kalalau Valley's, offering some of the most incredible views into Kalalau Valley. The panoramic views into Kalalau Valley as you hike out onto the ridge stretching towards Na Pali are simply incredible. The day we did the hike the weather was clear. We began the trail at 10:30 am and finished at 1:30 pm after a lunch at the point with local fruits and many photo stops along the way.
The GPS showed a total round trip of 2.1 miles with an elevation change of 650 feet. This completes all the ocean side trails in Kokee State Park. Of all the ocean side trails, this one is the best.
The brand new Southwick Rail Trail ends abruptly at the Westfield town line. I don't know if there are plans to continue the trail to the north.

Hiking through the Quehanna Wild Area on the 75 mile long loop trail. Moshannon State Forest in the Pennsylvania Wilds.
The Inca paved long sections of the trail we hiked through the Andes to Machu Picchu, and they managed to get all the paving stones up to the trail without the benefit of horses, oxen, cattle, etc.

Atalanti national path.The trail goes around Chionistra mountain at an altitude of 1,700¬-1,750 metres, passing through dense areas of black pine trees and Foetid Juniper. One of the largest trees ¬ Foetid Juniper ¬ is found on the trail; it is 800 years old. There are wonderful views of all the areas of the island. The entrance tunnel of the chrome mine ¬ which has been out of service since 1982 is particularly interesting.

My very first intentional attempt at this kind of "light trails" picture. Unfortunately, the barrier was a few inches too tall for my completely outstretched tripod, so I had to rest the legs on the mesh of the barrier and hope for the best. I'm fairly pleased with the result. It was a beautiful sky. 1 second exposure.
