This is a closer look while Oakland's phase is green.

I was stopped anyway, so I figured I'd get my camera and take a quick shot of this signal, which uses old 4-way heads. It should be noted that the heads have outlasted the original controller!

This is the first time I've seen a U-turn signal in the wild.

The upper lights were caused by a London Bus passing. This is my first real attempt with long exposure

Traffic lighs with additional forward arrow section: the main green light is on. In this case, it allows driving forward only. Oncoming traffic also sees green light.

This is Stockport. McDonalds has a "drive-thru", not a drive-through. Sketched on site from the car park with fibretip, watercolour added.

Note how blue the green light is. It's a language issue actually.
