My tracks as I walked into shore from some offshore islands. Converted to a single photo hdr in photoshop.

Faygate, a little station which somehow survived Beeching's axe. It opens on a part-time basis, mostly for commuter traffic. There's a small business park nearby which no doubt helps to keep it operational.

Back to trackbuilding. The section to the right has been completed, after a lot of cleaning up from having been left for a few months. This has now been transferred to the main template, along with the turnout at the left. This turnout will probably not be attached to the rest of the formation but is needed to ensure that the track flows nicely. The 3-way is only plonked on to show where it fits. The template itself is printed on heavy card then varnished with Ronseal to protect it from the various liquids that will be sloshed over it during build.

TRACK is a unique art experience in the public and semi public space of the city of Ghent. It offers surprising, enriching and unexpected encounters with the city, its history and its inhabitants and incites to reflect upon urban realities and the contemporary human condition in a broader sense. 41 international artists were invited to conceive new art works that are strongly rooted in the urban fabric of Ghent but link the local context with issues of global significance.

Het biedt verrassende, verrijkende en onverwachte ontmoetingen met de stad, zijn geschiedenis en zijn inwoners en zet mensen ertoe aan te reflecteren over stedelijke realiteiten en de hedendaagse condition humaine in ruime zin. 41 internationale kunstenaars werden uitgenodigd om nieuw werk te creëren dat diep geworteld is in het stedelijke weefsel van Gent, maar dat de lokale context ook verbindt met thema’s die een universele relevantie hebben.
