Moose tracks can be very similar to Wapiti tracks, although sometimes larger, and always more pointed.
Don't you just love it when general public responds to your photography. I was on my way to school this morning and these workers were working across the platform on the tracks and as they saw me shooting, these two posed right away and gave me thumbs up as I got done taking shots... AWESOME!
Note: This is the same station that you can see thru my 'blue' ghost in the previous shots...
On our trip up to Uncle Bud's cabin, we saw an American marten bound across the trail in front of us, about 1.5 miles before the cabin. Then Leigh saw one in the morning just outside the cabin, again bounding through the snow. The martens had their winter coats on, and were especially large and fluffy. The tracks here were on the other side of the cabin, on our way to Galena lakes for a day trip. This marten was apparently bounding along as well, as the front feet tracks are actually behind the larger back feet. They must be eating a lot of squirrels to keep up their energy!
