I captured this scene from an overpass near Bologna Centrale station, across from the signal house with its steel framework spanning the tracks. In the center of the structure a large clock was mounted, clearly visible above the converging rails and electrical lines.
The design of the signal house itself stood out to me, its elevated form and intricate framework contrasting with the dense infrastructure of tracks, wiring, and surrounding urban buildings.
Numerous quad tracks can be seen running over the hill here that vanish in the morning cloud. This is rough sheep faming country near Fruid. A lovely morning in the hills.

Tookie was so excited to see real train tracks up close :) I think I could just lock the 50 on f/2 and be fine. That's pretty much the only aperture I use with it. Definitely a sweet spot for me.
Happy Monochrome Monday!
Edinburgh, Scotland - This is the Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station. Initially constructed in 1846, it was demolished in 1866 and rebuilt, which seems to happen often in Scotland.
Why is it called Waverley? It's named after the Waverley Novels by Sir Walter Scott.
The morning after a big snow. Tracks everywhere, very active night, my guess is that these are coyote tracks.
This is not the same track as I posted some time ago. I had to act quickly, the tide was coming in very fast, I was only able to take one shot. I am not quite sure, but I think I like this one best.
Have a great weekend everyone !!
In keeping with my recent "green" theme, I'm posting an image from 2016 when we were in Ireland where almost everything is green. This was taken from a bridge close to where we stayed in Dublin.
Thanks to everyone for stopping by to view, fave, and comment!!
