Towpath at Paddington Cut, Grand Union Canal, Paddington, London

Another lovely canal autumn scene, but with some nice shadows across the towpath.

Taken on a frosty evening as the sun set. This is a fairly old picture which has been processed using Aurora HDR software to bring out the shadows.

Not much floating on or flying by the canal between Tilstone and Bunbury Locks so I took a photo of two female Homo sapiens on their morning walk :-)

A towpath cut into the rock beside the Lot river in south-west France

People coming and going alongside the Union Canal at Fountainbridge. As well as a nice leisure route for walking or cycling, it also offers a handy route for commuting by foot or bike, away from road traffic. And, of course, that also means a nice spot for me to take some people watching shots!

I think these are inkcaps (Coprinopsis atramentaria) well into the process of deliquescing, but in too nice a spot to ignore!

She saw me taking several shots and played along. When she got to me I told her I was waiting for the umbrella to cover her face, because I like incognito pics of people.

Saw these people while walking along the canal this morning.

Something a little different today, a new walk 12.2km I've not tried before - out from Wendover along the disused Wendover arm of the Grand Union Canal and a return through Wendover Woods over the hill.

Good to see the cyclist has a bell. Early in lockdown bell-less cyclists on the towpath became quite a hazard.
