10 m above ground. We have to crossover from the round staircase through parts of the church's roof to the entrance of the squared main tower. The atmosphere changes drastically from subtle elegance to a very simplistic and functional architecture.

Eltz Castle (German: Burg Eltz) is a medieval castle nestled in the hills above the Moselle River between Koblenz and Trier, Germany. It is still owned by a branch of the same family (the Eltz family) that lived there in the 12th century, 33 generations ago. Bürresheim Castle, Eltz Castle and Lissingen Castle are the only castles on the left bank of the Rhine in Rhineland-Palatinate which have never been destroyed. The castle is surrounded on three sides by the Elzbach River, a tributary on the north side of the Moselle. It is on a 70-metre (230 ft) rock spur, on an important Roman trade route between rich farmlands and their markets. I like the cartoonish feel here, that comes from compensating for the grey day and the bus window!
Is the tower at the end of the perspective really leaning? It's all a question of point of view... Like so many things in life, you have to look at everything from every angle.

I absolutely adore Derfel Cadarn and his epic castle skills. So, naturally, I HAD to try out his castle tower technique for myself.
I am really pleased with the whole build. I think it's one of my best.
Tower Bridge in the early evening. Taken on my rambling walk around London on the way home from work last night.
This is another photo of the communications tower on that glorious sunrise morning last week. I had bypassed processing it because the tower was off-centre but not otherwise placed well either. When I went back to the image several days later, I decided to crop it so that the tower became centered. Centering isn't always good in photos, but it does work sometimes, and I am happy enough with this. I also post-processed a little more aggressively than in a previous version. You have seen it already, but I'll put it in comments anyway to compare processing.

ToHa Tower (short for Totzeret HaAretz Tower) is a high-rise building completed in 2019 in Tel Aviv. Designed by Ron Arad and Yashar Architects, the tower is 125 m tall. It is supposed to resemble an iceberg.

This watch tower is sitting next to a power substation. I don’t know it’s purpose. It certainly wouldn’t be to look for fires in the middle of farm land and a couple of miles from the river.
