Słynny most zwodzony "Tower Bridge".

Leith Hill, Surrey Hills.

A cell tower in Plano, Texas.

Something "fisheye" from the Panasonic Lumix Archives.

10 m above ground. We have to crossover from the round staircase through parts of the church's roof to the entrance of the squared main tower. The atmosphere changes drastically from subtle elegance to a very simplistic and functional architecture.

The very impressive Iron Age broch (stone tower) on the island of Mousa, Shetland. It’s the largest and best preserved in the world, pretty much. It gets mentioned several times in the Viking sagas, though it dates from much earlier.

For an account of my trip to the Shetland Islands:

Turning away from Hong Kong island, I looked over to the small outcrop of towers that make up this part of West Kowloon. Hiding just behind 'The Arch' is the ginormous tower where I was staying. I guess even the tallest of buildings can find hiding places.

The West Kowloon station building wraps around back on itself and links to the shopping centre over by those big towers. The time difference in building really shows: the modern station being all glass and curves, the towers all blocky and drab.

Is the tower at the end of the perspective really leaning? It's all a question of point of view... Like so many things in life, you have to look at everything from every angle.

Passau, Germany. From left, the scaffold-clad Old Town Hall tower in the background, the tower of the Church of St. Paul in the foreground, and the three towers of Dom St. Stephan at right.

I have some interior photos from St. Paul I might post.

I like the cartoonish feel here, that comes from compensating for the grey day and the bus window!

Tower Bridge in the early evening. Taken on my rambling walk around London on the way home from work last night.

This watch tower is sitting next to a power substation. I don’t know it’s purpose. It certainly wouldn’t be to look for fires in the middle of farm land and a couple of miles from the river.

I will post a couple more Houston images before rounding off this series with the additional Marina del Rey captures.

In this image, the tallest building seen here is the Williams Tower (Houston, TX, USA). The highway on the left is part of the 610 loop.

Tower Bridge is a Grade I listed bascule bridge with suspended bridge approach and high level footbridges between twin stone towers. (A bascule is a type of bridge with a section which can be raised and lowered using counterweights.)

Simply called The Tower, this is a former hunting lodge overlooking the valley at Woodchester Park, looking lovely nestling in the autumn foliage.

Another upward glance at the Silver Tower in Frankfurt.

This 244 meter long suspension bridge spans the Thames River close to the Tower of London and has become an iconic symbol of London. It has an enclosed walkway across the upper section which allows passage when the drawbridge is in use. The bridge's present colour scheme dates from 1977, when it was painted red, white and blue for Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee.

The Cheese Tower in Cluny dates from the 11th century. It offers a beautiful view of the town and its surroundings after climbing 121 steps. This 30-meter-high (98 feet) tower was part of the abbey grounds. Its current name comes from the fact that a woman used it to dry the cheeses she made in the 19th century.

The Torres Del Paine provide a superb backdrop to the Cascada Paine as it flows downstream with a thunderous roar.

These three Granite Needles of the "Towers of Paine" give this National Park its name and provide the ultimate challenge for the Regions Climbers. I will post a wider view of this waterfall at some point sowing its impressive scale.

The wildlife in the Park was pretty abundant too, we saw Condors, Guanacos, and lots of interesting birds and not long after this we had a close encounter with a large Puma.
