A dusky sky as the sun throws her last golden rays over the moors. Looking towards Syke Moor and Hollingworth from Green Meadows.
The photo was taken in the Sablinsky caves. The caves are artificial; quartz sand was mined until 1950; since then they have been abandoned and almost completely destroyed. In the photo I wanted to capture the emotions of the first visit, when you don’t know what’s there in the depths and this makes it even more breathtaking. The photo was among the top ten finalists in the “The Most Beautiful Country” photo competition in 2018. photo.rgo.ru/gallery/
"If we knew what we are doing, it wouldn't be called investigation, would it?"
Albert Einstein
Well, whether the above thruth may be really attributable to great Albert or not, it stil is the truth. It is undeniable. And it keeps proving as such as you'll see from the following. The other day I was playing with light, contrast, textures and exposure only to come up with a result proving the quote. I'm reckoning now I should have tried and overexposed it to an even greater extent ...for sheer curiosity's sake. Well, next time maybe, because while I'm too irresistibly drawn to see what my new lens can do, which I proudly announced in my last post, for sheer suspense's sake, both mine and yours, hopefully, I think I'll definitely be coming back to the exploration of this topic over and over again.
Cheers, my friends!

In the far distance, under the raincloud, you can just make out the tall buildings in the City of London
Walking towards Overstrand, Norfolk
The tide was out. A perfect time to walk along the beach from Cromer to Overstrand.
I took this on our way back to our hut/cabin from the Mavora Lakes (see previous photo). The evening light was wonderful.
I am busy catching up around the house at the moment (as well as doing my admin duties) so I will try and get to your photostreams as soon as I can :-)

Towards the Sun - Alexi Murdoch

See, the clouds are creeping
Towards the sun
And I'm slipping away
Unseen by anyone
The light is turning gray
The day is done
Water is so cold
And heavy on my mind
I dreamed of walking with you
But I fell behind
Looking for a road
I could not find
And now the ice is stirring
And spring is near
There is no one calling
But the sound is clear
Though I'm not yet gone
