Santorini, Greece
So, I booked Paris for autumn and can't wait to visit for the 2nd time! And did I ever mention September was my favorite travel month? Well, there has to be at least one Mediterranean destination on my schedule in September. Last year it was Santorini and this year I'm having difficulties deciding on whether to go to the Amalfi Coast, Sardinia, Corsica, Mykonos or Normandy? Or a city trip to Rome, I think I will have to decide this weekend, suggestions are welcome!

The little female ruby-throated hummingbird was hard to keep up with as she zoomed from bloom to bloom only staying a second or two at each.

The Lusatian Mountains are a small mountainous range in Northern Bohemia. It lies at the border between Germany and the Czech Republic. The smaller German part is called the Zittau Mountains (in German: Zittauer Gebirge).

I thought the clouds were beautiful on this particular day. The trees are growing in a high sand dune and just over the dune a bit is the Atlantic Ocean

This lake is about a two hous drive from my parents place. In Miami I'd drive that to catch a sunrise, here in Austria that's a day-trip... LOL. Well, we did other things too and only got to the lake around 4:00 pm; we had left home at 10:00 am. By the time we had walked around the lake, which is about 2.5 miles, it was almost too dark to take photos.
It must be absloutely gorgeous there in summer...
Common Loons, parent and four-day-old chick, sharing a touching moment. The closeness and contact provides reassurance to the vulnerable youngster and strengthens their family bonds. Watching their tender interaction was truly touching. Taken in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. (Best viewed large.)
