The Olympic Torch today is ignited several months before the opening celebration of the Olympic Games at the site of the ancient Olympics in Olympia, Greece. Eleven women, representing the roles of priestesses, perform a ceremony in which the torch is kindled by the light of the Sun, its rays concentrated by a parabolic mirror.
Olympic torch, not an easy feat to capture in motion!

81-year-old Derek Wood carries the Olympic Torch in the Torch Relay through Edmonton's Fore Street. Derek for 16 years has been a committee member and secretary of the Alzheimer's Society Enfield Branch.

Olympic torch relay, first runner through Winchester. This photo kind of took itself, I touched the button on the camera by accident and wasn't even sure where it was pointing, then I saw this! Not perfect but considering that all the other photos I tried to take of her were seriously out of focus this is amazing.

Don't let the word 'cordial' fool you, this spicy cocktail was made wit Bacardi torched cherry rum, crave chocolate cherry and crave chocolate chilli. It was sweet and salty in your mouth and then burned as you swallowed. An interesting experience.
