First roll of film in 15 years. First roll through a camera not made behind the Iron Curtain. Almost all shots underexposed. Got some (re)learning to do.

This "home tool kit" was designed with women in mind, and it worked! My wife was induced to buy it . . . and that was way before the recent Barbie craze.

Nothing beats the garage workshop of a spry 90-year-old tinkerer.

The Boss and I headed into downtown Grimsby, Ontario to pick up a few things for lunch and in the process passed by a hair cutting emporium. I no longer know what to call them since the names are much more elegant than the options of my youth, when I still had hair about which to be concerned, and categories were simply Barber or Hair Dresser, possibly with the owner’s name as part of the business name, and we were less enlightened and less gender-inclusive. Here, a red-Shirted ‘barber’ is cutting a client’s hair under the illumination of a ring light, while another ‘barber’ in tan is further back. All the while, the passing parade behind me is reflected in the window through which the image was shot. Perhaps I have been watching a few too many street photography videos. Just another Saturday morning in downtown Grimsby. And, of course, Red Rule applies. – JW

Adam Jones of Tool

You can't see his face, but if you're a fan, you'll recognize the Silverburst Les Paul...

Their lighting was horrible (Grand Olympic Auditorium in L.A.) and I had this super horrible flash that lit everything up like 12 noon. I don't think Adam was happy with me.... =P

Flowers with vintage garden hand tools

As the barber-shops opened yesterday, I was lucky to get a free chair at my local barber (which is also a friend of me and my wife) and after I got my sleek cut I took some shots in his shop.

He likes to upcylce old stuff and likes old school razors, clippers etc. and his shop generally has very old school interior

Unfortunately I was a bit in a hurry so I could only take a few shots. In maybe 4 weeks more will follow.

All pictures are taken with my Fuji X-Pro1 & XF35/f1.4 as RAW-files and processed afterwards in Affinity Photo.
