About this photo:
It's green! This is a picture of another bridge in Brandywine Park (Wilmington, Delaware). It is quite different from its neighbor just upstream.
About the process:
Contrast: I created a B&W version of the image using the Channel Mixer to adjust the levels until I got the desired amount of contrast. I set the B&W layer to "Overlay" mode and set a low opacity.
Overlay: I duplicated the layer and set it to "Overlay" to enhance the overall contrast and color saturation.
Saturation: I increased the saturation in the bridge by creating a highly saturated layer and setting it to "Color" mode. Then I used the "Color Select" tool to only select the greens. I inverted the selection and deleted the rest of the saturation layer. I used a mask to lessen the greens of the foliage.
High Pass: Of course, I finished by applying a high pass filter, but this time I set the mode to "Soft Light"

Tool box full of everything needed to make a race car stay together. At the Northern Nationals, Amsoil Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin.

My kinda "multitool" in the kitchen.
Perfect Christmas gift for ambitious homechefs/kitchen firestarters.
A forgiving pan that is capable of covering your mistakes and can actually give you an alibi in certain situations...

To match this week’s theme, “Tools and Utensils,” for the group Macro Mondays. This is a micro (macro) of the can opener blade on a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife.
Old motorcar tools, if only they could talk about all the jobs they have been used on over the years. "Tools".. "Crazy Tuesday"..
I used my betel nut box from Thailand but any box would work. My box measures 8.5x9.5" , 8" high with the depth of the container part 2.25". I used several sizes of pharmacy bottles to create separate compartments. Now I can easily find the tool I want to use with the added benefit of being able to carry all the tools to different "clean" work spaces.
Twenty years ago, after 20 years of marriage, I found myself divorced and living alone for the first time in my life. A bit of a shock to the system. Anyway, I decided I should prepare myself for my new life and thought I might need some tools for ... I had no idea what ... but one day I might find out. So, I headed out to a DIY store and bought myself this tool box together with a few tools to put in it. They still look as good as new. Strange, that. An electric screwdriver is obviously a lot more useful but, hey, it's good to have a colourful tool box buried in the garden shed. :)

Found in my Grandpa's desk. No idea what it was for. He was a rice farmer, but this tool and its box seemed lightly used so it might not be related. Any idea?
The 6/11/18 topic for Macro Mondays is Hand Tool, and while the small piece of this tool shown here is probably unrecognizable to most, it is a tool that I used a lot back in my woodworking days, 30 or more years ago. It is a 2¾ inch portion of a spoke shave (see the whole thing in the first comment). I could never stand a straight line and was always shaving off the edges in order to create more flowing, sculptured lines, and this spoke shave saw a lot of action. Unfortunately, after a few decades rattling around in the back of my tool drawer, it's looking pretty battered now, but in its time, it served me well.

[i know the pieces fit cuz i watched them fall away
mildewed and smoldering. fundamental differing.
pure intention juxtaposed will set two lovers souls in motion
disintegrating as it goes testing our communication
the light that fueled our fire then has burned a hole between us so
we cannot see to reach an end crippling our communication.
i know the pieces fit cuz i watched them tumble down
no fault, none to blame it doesn't mean i don't desire to
point the finger, blame the other, watch the temple topple over.
to bring the pieces back together, rediscover communication
the poetry that comes from the squaring off between,
and the circling is worth it.
finding beauty in the dissonance.
there was a time that the pieces fit, but i watched them fall away.
mildewed and smoldering, strangled by our coveting
i've done the math enough to know the dangers of our second guessing
doomed to crumble unless we grow, and strengthen our communication.
cold silence has a tendency to atrophy any
sense of compassion
between supposed lovers/brothers]

These tools are sparingly used. DIY is not really my forte, and I prefer to use my hard-earned income to pay a professional to do jobs properly. I don't even know what the thing on the right is (don't worry; I don't really want to know).
Taken because on 2 April 2022 the Hereios of the We’re Here! Group are shooting DIY Home Decor.
A close-up of the well-used handles of tools in a woodworking workshop. I liked the warm red colour of the handles and the textures of the worn paint and wood.
I wanted to emphasize the gritty look of an old warehouse still in use, though the train tracks have been removed where the boxcars used to be shunted right into the building to unload their wool.
I did use Nik's HDR Efex Pro 2, but with a single exposure only. The dynamic range of the D600's sensor is so good that it is rarely necessary to use more than one frame to get the shot.
