I snapped this on a street that was being repaired.

This is a small multi tool that I won in a Christmas cracker once upon a time - without a doubt the most useful thing that ever came out of a cracker. For Macro Mondays 'Tool' theme.

Oil on paper, A4

I'm actually use them for woodworking.

(Reuploaded after some minor corrections (to the painting, photo is still quite crappy))

Macro Mondays: "Tool"

A popular hand held multi-tool, with some gratuitous bokeh. Shot on a white acrylic sheet with a constant LED light, holiday lights for the bokeh.

The image is about 6.35 cm (2.5 inches) on the long edge.

An old hand or "eggbeater" drill. Still use in occasionally for fun and as a reminder of how everything took so much longer back then.

Surprisingly they are still available...

All are greatly appreciated!

Happy Macro Mondays to you all!

I ventured under the storage loft today and found this necklace in a bag of rusty tools. I also found the Joe Lansdale book I thought I lost, but that's another story.

My friend Mary and I made these necklaces (hers said "What's up bitch") after seeing "Clerks" and they were a big hit down at the bar.

Shows you what kind of crowd I run with.

Anyway, I haven't seen Mary in many, many years and I wonder if she still has her necklace.

Hello Valeria, what are you doing?

Uhmm, tooling?

You know what this wheel is for?

Yes, of course, it's for... thingy. You know?

Copying sewing patterns.

That's what I said!

So you're copying your boyfriend?

I... uhmm... he needs new clothes. Yes, totally new clothes, with being nekkid and so.

Yes I see. Can't be running around like that, this being a safe group.

Exactly! Glad you understand!

All light & rays are natural. On the 30th of April we had perfect conditions (about 3 degrees celsius, sun & fog), so i decided to take an early walk with my dogs on this Sunday. Now we have to wait here until fall to see this again.

Todays challenge for the daily shoot was, What tools do you use and appreciate on a daily basis? Make an interesting photo of one such tool today.

Well I considered taking a shot of some of the tools out of my toolbox I keep in my office, but then thought about it, there really for decoration as I do not do hands on tech work any more so when I thought about it I had to get a shot of these, Not sure I appreciate the blackberry, but I am addicted to it and would be lost without my android Nexus one cellphone

Of course beingme I slipped in a little bit of reflection

Update on Dr's visit, it went well, not likely i will need surgery, it sees the problem is something I have had all my life, basically my knees are deformed and my knee cap doesnt sit where it should, so I start on Physical therapy on Monday twice a week for 6 weeks which hopefully will alleviate or ease the issues I have had

Crazy Tuesday 29.7.2025

For Crazy Tuesday!, I went investigating in our very messy tool drawer and found this mini "sculpture". It had created itself around a random magnet. I just clamped onto it with a well-worn wrench, and voila! (Background is a sateen coat of mine.)

For Crazy Tuesday! "Tools"

Buddy is monitoring the interior of the old squash house at Wright-Locke Farm. The farm has gone quiet for the winter, and those tools won't be used again until early spring. Buddy, however, is still on duty, though I don't think he has many responsibilities.
