Who knew on his first day of life that we would develop a family joke that dad will eat his toes......some giggle fest ensues and he hides them and dad tries to grab them...the munchkin now threatens to eat our toes and just last night was after mine.....teeth and all......makes us laugh so hard and then i see this photo from his first 24 hours and cannot believe how big his feet are now, granted only a size 7 toddler, not big in reality just in comparison
today we celebrate his 4th birthday and I am all emotional and unable to sleep.....hormones, emotion, heartburn.....we are a family of 3, this little guy has grown and is healthy and spoiled and "precocious"(the librarian's word) and loved more than I ever knew was possible....crying with tears dropping down my face now, cold on the hotness of my skin.......must stop!

my first pair of socks knitted from the toe up. Used the universal formula from Knitty and 2.75mm needles. The yarn was so pretty i didn't think it needed any patterning.

A tree in my backyard. tippy toeing all the way to the top.... maybe. I'm one of those ridiculously tall females... I don't often tip toe. in fact... I've got 4 inches on my beau. he tip toes up to me. heheh.
Cannot describe how good these crazy things feel. NO MORE EXCUSES for not being outside barefoot! My lifelong dream is realized!

Most of the shots taken at the summer cottage turned out overexposed. As I recall I was shooting the outdoor pictures on A-mode, so I'm thinking the lightmeter is not working properly. Better not use the A, then!
