For my daughter's 7th birthday party - Woodland Fairy themed. Chocolate cupcakes topped with Fondant & vegan white chocolate chips. The girls loved them!

Growing on a patch of ground previously used for sawing logs. Split specimens, growing in same area on a remaining stump. Many split fungi at the moment as its been so dry lately.

Lisa and I went to Thorndon Country Park to take photos with the toadstool beret for the Tiny Toadstool Project created by the wonderful Shan Shan!

Toadstools outside of Page, Arizona. Very unusual balance for the boulder on the right as there is no tangency with its companion on the left. While the color image came out perfectly with hardly any post processing adjustments, I preferred this B&W interpretation.

Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Paria Rimrocks and Toadstools

This is out of focus, but here for historical reference. My LFS guy gave me this about two weeks before this picture. It's a Toadstool Leather Coral. He gave it to me because some loser and brought it to him, not in water. You can see how all the polyps are not really developed.

The sun was behind the toadstool so a flash was used, though I cannot remember if I maxed out the power.

The light frost on these toadstools looks like a sprinkle of sugar on top.

Welcome to Toadstool Cottage!

Pull up a mushroom cap and have a cup of tea with the resident fairy (handmade by Dannielle at Princess NImble Thimble).

Measuring roughly 10 x 12 " at the base, this cozy home made in the hollowed out stump of a tree, with a flagstone path and plenty of toadstools and wildflowers is made completely of wool through needlefelting.

Huge mushroom/toadstools in local graveyard

My creations for the toadstool swap. I made a big yo-yo for the top and, as my partner Lindsey pointed out, a hula skirt-like tuft of grass on the bottom to make sure it would stand up. I felt like my toadie was sort of lame compared to the one I received (yes, I was late sending mine!) so I made a little doll quilt for one of Lindsey's silly girls.

Toadstool Geologic Park, near Crawford, Nebraska.

One of the "toadstools" at the Toadstool State Geologic Park in northwest Nebraska. Beautiful day for taking pictures!
