Toadstools on the stump of a fallen tree.

handmade from felted, repurposed wool sweaters. this soft toadstool stands about 4 1/4" tall and is 4" wide. it is lovingly sewn by both hand and machine and stuffed firm with 100% sheeps wool, and weighted with dried beans.

perfect for a woodland display, nature table or gentle play.

April entry for the Travelling Journal Project. Staedter Triplus Fineliner, Tombow pens and stitch on paper. Web stitch, Flat Wheel stitch, French Knots, Button Hole and made-up stitches. Recycled lace mat background.

A fungus growing on a stump. Shot using a Canon Xs with a Canon EF 100 mm f/2.8 macro lens, ISO 100, f/32 for good depth of field under late evening natural light using a tripod.
