Stumbled, almost stood on, this little fungoid in Bawsey woods. I had to lay flat to get the shot in macro, it was only about an inch in diameter, but having seen the picture, I like the detail of the undergrowth better then the toadstool.
We had these very large toadstools growing outside our kitchen window. It isn't uncommon to hear the chatter of leprechauns on the foggy mornings here at Tabor's Camp. June 09
Toadstools in Christchurch park, Ipswich Suffolk UK.
I think these are some sort of Bonnet fungus possibly a drab bonnet?
Today my mother wanted to stop by Adriana Hess Wetland Park and Morrison Pond, after doing some errands. I just knew that if we went when I didn't have my camera with me there'd be something to shoot....and of course I was right. The ducks I couldn't get close enough to with my cellphone camera, so decided I'd at least get a shot of some of the mushrooms popping up all over the place.....this looked cool with water in it's concave surface....must have been about 7 or 8 inches across!

Unseasonably mild weather has allowed these tiny toadstools to grow again - each one is less than 1cm in diameter.

I was invited to a large property in Macclesfield to take a look at the wonderful variety of trees there, in various autumn colors. These little suckers were camped under some trees out in the paddocks.
Golden light hits the (now famous) Toadstools of the GSENM. I apparently have several other Flickr accounts but because I'm too lazy to re-set the password, I'll make this the official one. I have fond memories of Flickr and the community and excited to see what takes place now that Smugmug is at the helm.
It's been very dry here, however these have all appeared.. Nothing on the woodland floor, all on old wood, moss or trees.
