The Titanic - Belfast is an impressive museum and experience situated on the exact site where RMS Titanic was built. It is a huge building which dominates the space, exactly as the ship would have done when she was being built. It is set on the slipways where RMS Titanic was launched. The building is a salute to both the old and the new; the traditions; stages of shipbuilding; and The White Star Line, for whom the ship was built.
Stay safe and enjoy your photography.

Titanic Experience in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is a museum of the site of the shipyard where the ill-fated steamship Titanic was built in 1909. The building was designed to resemble the prow of the original ship.
Le Titanic était surnommé le paquebot de rêve, et il l'était, il l'était vraiment...
Titanic, name and thing, will stand as a monument and warning to human presumption.
I cannot imagine any condition which would cause a ship to founder. I cannot conceive of any vital disaster happening to this vessel. Modern shipbuilding has gone beyond that.
One of the most magnificent vessels to ever sail the Atlantic ocean, the Titanic was the epitome of craftsmanship, technology and majesty. The history of the Titanic is a rich landscape of triumph, tragedy, and mystery with artifacts and information still surfacing even after nearly 100 years since the event. No other vessel in history has drawn as much attention as the history of the Titanic, and as a result, a myriad of books, films, and other forms of media have been released in order to recount the events of April 14, 1912 and offer new facts and insight into the tragedy.
Le désastre est un choc pour la communauté internationale car il prouve à tous que l'homme et ses réussites technologiques peuvent être dépassés par les puissances de la nature à une époque où le progrès scientifique semblait impossible à arrêter.
According to Wikipedia, Eric Kuhne and Associates were commissioned as concept architects, with Todd Architects appointed as lead consultants. The building's design is intended to reflect Belfast's history of shipmaking and the industrial legacy bequeathed by Harland & Wolff. Its angular form recalls the shape of ships' prows, with its main "prow" angled down the middle of the Titanic and Olympic slipways towards the River Lagan. Alternatively, it has been suggested that the building looks like the Titanic, and locals have already nicknamed it "The Iceberg". Most of the building's façade is clad in 3,000 individual silver anodised aluminium shards. It stands 126 feet (38 m) high, the same height as Titanic's hull.
Another version of the Titanic ,It is great doing this sort of work it gives me a lot of satisfaction to come up with an image that is quiet unique in itself after all when was the last time you seen titanic on flickr.0)..

The background structure reminded me of a Titanic-like ocean freighter beaching itself on the alien landscape of Arches National Park. The setting sun only helped enhance the effect in my mind :).

Here's my take on a micro Titanic!
Simplicity is beautiful - and microscale really showcase this beauty. In such MOCs, every piece has its place, every piece has a meaning and every piece is used at its best.
This teeny tiny ship may have took only 5 minutes to design, yet I am very proud of it.
How is it built? The ship is balanced! Try it, it works!
The TITANIC EXPERIENCE designed in scale with the Titanic. The street level show how the mighty Titanic looked above the water. I took this photo to show the proportion of passenger/visitor to the Titanic/museum.
I’ve seen it from the outside only. I took the “Black Taxi Tour” :

Titanic Belfast, my third large scale build for Bright Bricks. Currently on display at the The Titanic Belfast Museum as part of the Brick City Lego tour.
This was the most technically difficult build I have undertaken to date, it took me approximately 4 weeks to complete. Two weeks talking to the architect, deciphering the technical plans, figuring out the angles and to build the base/ground floor. One week to build the façade panels. And finally one week putting the whole thing together in a Perspex box in the middle of a busy shopping centre in Belfast.
As per usual with this type of build I had plenty of help and advice from the Bright Bricks team.
WIP photos can be seen on my Mocpage .

Titanic Belfast is the world's largest Titanic visitor experience and a "must see" visit in any tour of Belfast and Northern Ireland. It is located in Titanic Quarter, right beside the historic site of this world famous ship's construction. Housed in an iconic 6-floor building, this state-of-the-art visitor experience tells the story of the Titanic, from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s, through her construction and launch, to her famous maiden voyage and tragic end.
Another comparison of architectural styles. The modern memorial museum, condominium development and on the left, part of the original Harland and Wolff offices.
The Titanic
building is located on Queen's Island, an area of land at the entrance of Belfast Lough which was reclaimed from the water in the mid-19th century. It was used for many years by the shipbuilders Harland and Wolff, who built huge slipways and graving docks to accommodate the simultaneous construction of Olympic and Titanic. The decline of shipbuilding in Belfast left much of the area derelict. Most of the disused structures on the island were demolished. A number of heritage features were given listed status, including the Olympic and Titanic slipways and graving docks, as well as the iconic Samson and Goliath cranes
Another of Titanic at Belfast. The posts are there to represent the outline of the ships. In reality the ships were 4 times taller than the posts represent... #titanic #belfast #titanicmuseum #northernireland

The Titanic building, Belfast shot at night. I am sure all of these shots of this iconic building have been done before, but thought I would have a go myself. Top and bottom ones were taken with the 10-22mm thus the distortion of the verticals.
