my movies #1
i'm starting a new series inspired on movies. i'm not done with the fairy tales series yet, so i'm going to alternate the two series, and sometimes break up with some random pictures, depending on the time off i have and the willingness of my feline assistants

A re-worked shot of one of my favourite buildings - the stunning Titanic Centre in Belfast. With the lighting in this shot I wondered whether the building represents the Titanic itself, or the iceberg which sunk the fateful liner in 1912; or indeed both.
Titanic Quarter in Belfast, Northern Ireland is a large-scale waterfront regeneration, comprising historic maritime landmarks, film studios, education facilities, apartments, a riverside entertainment district, and the world's largest Titanic-themed attraction centred on land in Belfast Harbour, known until 1995 as Queen's Island. The 185-acre (75 ha) site, previously occupied by part of the Harland and Wolff shipyard, is named after the company's, and the city's, most famous product RMS Titanic.
The Titanic sinks in a small creek, while a fisherman doesn't mind ...

As requested by jude depp.
The build should actually be longer, in order to represent the wreck more accurately. However, I was running low on parts and wanted to finish the build so I cut it a bit short.

Hi Phyllis, I have the Barbie dress, but not the doll.
I do have these dolls that are 16 inch from Ashton Drake Galleries though!
Titanic Building, Belfast Northern Ireland.
The building's design is intended to reflect Belfast's history of shipmaking and the industrial legacy bequeathed by Harland & Wolff. Its angular form recalls the shape of ships' prows, with its main "prow" angled down the middle of the Titanic and Olympic slipways towards the River Lagan. Alternatively, it has been suggested that the building looks like an iceberg, and locals have already nicknamed it "The Iceberg". Most of the building's façade is clad in 3,000 individual silver anodised aluminium shards. It stands 126 feet (38 m) high, the same height as Titanic 's hull.
Titanic Belfast is a visitor attraction opened in 2012, a monument to Belfast's maritime heritage on the site of the former Harland & Wolff shipyard in the city's Titanic Quarter where the RMS Titanic was built. It tells the stories of the ill-fated Titanic, which hit an iceberg and sank during her maiden voyage in 1912, and her sister ships RMS Olympic and HMHS Britannic. The building contains more than 12,000 square metres (130,000 sq ft) of floor space, most of which is occupied by a series of galleries
Titanic somehow fascinates me a lot, and with the 100th anniversary of the tragedy, this issue was brought back to our minds.
I had this idea yesterday and spent a few hours doing it.
Use without permission is illegal. At least give the credits.
This was a nifty display (can't say little...) of what it was like in the boiler rooms of Titanic. There were only two models set in front of a large mirror. Nicely done.
Frankly, this may be an apropos look at what my year felt like. It has been difficult since New Year's! Next year could be better, it could be worse; only time will tell. I can tell you that through it all, my husband has been wonderful and patient, and not once in all of the trials have I felt alone, because Christ was always with me, too. A lot of people seem to have abandoned me this year, but Jesus will not, and my husband has not, and a couple of true friends haven't. So you know what? That makes it another good year, despite all the loss and pain.
A happy new year to all of you. Do stay safe! If you are smart, you are ready to snuggle down cozily at home. ;)
