I'm calling them the egg yolk furry discs until I learn what they're actually called.

If nature had a camera then this would be it's lens of choice

Rising from the fires of mount Doom, Ok just a little over dramatic but you get my meaning.

Cider is much better this week. He is getting back to his old self and is now on top of the world! :)

I took this photo with my iPhone and processed it with the Tiny World app.

Before venturing down the coast, I was playing this incredible video game called unravel. I was not only inspired by the incredible visual aspect of it all, but the storyline and the main character. It’s set within the most beautiful world and the main character is tiny... so the viewpoint of everyday objects/landscapes looks very different. It’s amazing how incredible our beautiful environment can look if you just look a little closer 💚

You can be quite memorized just watching the water sloooowly roll.

Caught this "Little Lady" out sunning herself on a beautiful Fall Day - enjoying the sun while she can.

Coccinella septempunctata, the seven-spot ladybird or seven-spotted ladybug (depending where you live) or "C-7", is one of the most common ladybird. Its elytra are of a red colour, but punctuated with three black spots each, with one further spot being spread over the junction of the two, making a total of seven spots, from which the species derives both its common and scientific names (from the Latin septem = "seven" and punctus = "spot").

Flood water is going down, but look what is coming out of the mud...

I found this tiny mushroom growing out of the moss on a Douglas fir on my property here in Winlock, Washington while out for a walk with my dog, King. It was barely taller than the moss around it, easy to miss if you were not moving slowly enough to notice the small things.

I love how the forest quietly offers these little moments of beauty without asking for attention. You just have to be willing to see them.

Happy Macro Monday to all ...

Now that's a look! Did you know that flies can perceive movement six times faster than humans? This allows them to instantly react to danger and avoid predators. Thanks to these unique abilities, flies are some of the quickest insects around

In a cold icy winter day I found these tiny frozen flowers in the morning that were covered by ice crystals and looked absolutely beautiful.

The fact that they were closely packed together in a cold wintery day felt like they are trying to lie close together to keep each other warm.

A close-up macro shot of a delicate white flower, its golden stamens glowing in the gentle light of spring. The soft focus and warm tones evoke a sense of calm, purity, and the fleeting beauty of nature’s smallest wonders.

Dragonfly Wandering Glider _ Painterly effect.

Caught this little fellow hanging out in the garden. Painterly effect and sliding achieved on the iPhone.

With the global pandemic occurring and restrictions in travel and social contact, many have taken on home improvement projects. One of mine has been to refurbish an attic observatory that I haven't used for a number of years. This is a 360 "tiny world" view with the Insta360 OneR camera and invisible selfie stick. Now that I think about it, it kind of looks like a corona virus!

DPS365/268 found this little critter walking around the lip of a glass tonight ... perfect excuse to get out the tamron macro ! Beverages assignment?

The beauty of small things :-)

Caught this little guy in the cool of the morning - wasn't moving very fast - he wasn't either.

The yard was full of these little critters.

Asílido conocido comunmente como mosca asesina o depredadora. Estos insectos atrapan a sus presas e inyectan en ellas una saliva paralizante para succionar después el alimento.

Cassius in Autumn Light

In the golden light of a Norwegian autumn, Cassius walks with quiet confidence. Captured from his own perspective using the Insta360 X5, this image invites us to see the world through his eyes – low to the ground, full of texture, scent, and warmth. The fallen leaves, the long shadows, and the crisp air all speak of a season in transition, where every step is a story.

Fun Fact

Cassius is named after the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali (born Cassius Clay), and just like his namesake, he moves with grace and purpose – even on a casual autumn stroll.
