My wannabe pirate is contentedly hanging out with her piggy pals entirely unaware that the honeythorpe household will soon be invaded by another feisty redhead!
A person 21 made her way into my shopping cart yesterday. I am not sure if she and Aoife will be drawing cutlasses at dawn or whether they will form an alliance and aim for total world domination!
In the meantime, I don't think I'll tell Aoife...
A series I have been wanting to do for a while, but haven't had the time. This gives a nice glimpse into each of their personalities!
2015 was a smashing year on the dolly front. Lots of unexpected arrivals and fun pictures. Here's hoping 2016 is another good year.
Doll Goals for 2016
-Quality rather than quantity for pictures.
-Practice sewing knits and set-in sleeves.
-Shoes and socks for all (except Tess - her toes like to be free)!
-More dynamic poses and props.
-Improved indoor lighting for rainy days and night pictures (a carry over goal from last year).
Meet Gertie. I've been wanting one of these cuties for a while now and now Gertie is finally home.
I really like her pouty little face and her odd proportions.
Je vous mets des photos de la petite licorne qui est partie vers sa nouvelle demeure avec un petit face-up sur-mesure

Today, I totally reworked the fireplace insert I made yesterday :). I opted for a more simple look without actual sticks but instead bright green moss. I added a little wire covering on the base. It covers the battery compartment. I painted the wire to match the house. I reduced to 1 LED light for a more subtle "fire" when on :).

Come to the Bambola World! www.Bambolaworld.com
and meet a 'Blanky' doll from Bambola World!
Blanky is 17.5cm resin doll and made by hand sculpture of the years.

Drusilla tried out blue hair today. She's feeling a little cheesed off as she apparantly hasn't had the appropriate amount of camera time that a new girl requiires.
I recently adopted this little filly secondhand, she is from the first series of Luts' Tiny Delf Centaurs. I haven't quite decided on her name yet but I'm leaning on Mint Julep for her at the moment.
My newest little one! She needs a face-up, some new eyes, a name and a lot of hats...I'm keeping her bald.:) Darling little romper by Spampy, Hat by Spampy's Mom, Julienne.
She is my new tiny bjd - milim Dashik from milim studio. Her height is 13cm. She is so slim and pretty girl!^_____^ And I'm very happy because my dream is come true!!!
It's almost finished! All I lack now is curtains and cushions for the sofa. This vintage cigar box dollhouse comes with the sofa, chair and coffee table - all hand painted and antiqued - highlighted with green crackle paint. The floor is real wood with the tiniest little "nail" holes where the pieces of wood connect. The light is LED battery operated and is held on by tacky wax so it can be moved around, as desired. The window is a classic old casement style with working panes. The exterior flowers are handmade with paper :)
Thanks for looking! Tori

Finally I got time to do some dolly sewing. It's been months!
i love this fabric, it reminds me of 1930s linocut illustrations in old books.
My redheaded bonnie sisters are doing the matchy matchy thing today.
Their dresses are created from a tiny scrap of fabric that I've had for at least 15 years. I am trying to be good and actually use my favourite fabrics instead of hoarding them!
I found this vintage postcard and love the idea of using it as the view outside. This is a working window and the bottom pane moves up or down. I wish I'd thought of adding the view before installing the window! Now, I'm just not sure about what to do for the exterior (top) of the box... Displaying the back of the old postcard isn't so awesome. So, I've got to figure out how to put another view on the exterior and fit some thinner version of this window over it. Ack!
