My new project: a vintage cigar house dollhouse with shabby chic decor :). I cut out a hole for the window sanded all the corners so they'd look more vintage, then stained with "driftwood" stain. Next steps: whitewash...

Brave little Ruby donated her body to science (well, to other bjd owners, which is just as worthy a cause) which is why Mouse is now the only Mini M&M.
I ordered some wigs from Mimi and they arrived today. Two of them are perfect (the last one will need a big of rewetting as it was difficult to style, but still gorgeous). I can't choose! I think this girl will be a chameleon doll as she looks good in everything! ;)

In progress! Still working on the wallpaper. The furniture and window (currently masked to protect it) will all get a coat of dark stain and then 2 coats of warm white. And then, a light sanding for low lights, and crackle paint and gold highlights :). I plan to put in a wood veneer plank floor and stain it to match the room. Plus, a little LED battery-operated tulip wall sconce. And, of course, sheer curtains!

Never trusting her Fairyland Black Bob ever again. The wig reacted with the silicone wig cap I had between and caused this stain in the MSC. Thankfully a good scrub with a Magic Eraser is taking care of it! Cassandra will also have new fluttery lashes! :)
She will be wigless from now on unless I am taking her picture. Uploaded this mostly for info for others. I am also thinking of finding her a longer wig in the same blunt cut style. We shall see!
I got a new macro lens for my birthday which was perfect to test out on my Chromie (Aileen Doll Rot) who was also a birthday present!

Dixie meets Marigold, an artist creation of Patricia Cabrera of Wooleytales miniatures. Marigold was created for our own Sparrow Post an idea/inspiration based on Tasha Tudor's sparrow post who carried all the mail to the dolls. Mine will be Finch Express, since Marigold looks like all the finches around my house...
