This is actually one image which I split in two. The white balance looked very different after I did that. The background is one piece of paper, not created with textures. These are really the tiniest vases I have. Unfortunately one of them let me down by leaking into a wooden table.

Tiny Bubbles fast water creates this dramatic shot being forced into a narrow area surrounded by rocks.

The tiniest of these I have ever seen - just 5 mm excluding her ovipositor. You can see her ovipositor clearly, it is the tubular organ through which a female insect deposits eggs.

Macro Mondays - Tiny
Image measures less than 1 1/2" on the long side. The dried flower is just under 3/8" (1cm). Placed on a glittery box with a flashlight off to the side for light.

This tiny, pink, rain covered dahlia fit perfectly in a macro frame.

Also from this morning. The forecast is for a smoky (hazardous) weather alert for days to come. Poor animals and birds and insects and tree frogs caught in the forest fires. And people.
But I digress. The main little cluster on this Joe-Pye weed measures about 2.54 cm / 1 in with smaller clusters on either side. I walked out to measure just now, and bees busily hummed or buzzed. Did their bee thing despite the haze.
