"Remains will not be handled on Streamlined trains unless advance arrangements have been made." Did anybody ever ship remains WITHOUT making advance arrangements?

A genuine timetable that time forgot. It's probably over 34 years old

A couple in Lisbon checking the timetable for trams

the bus timetable which we relied on to get us to and from disney on our first visit in 1998

A reproduction of this old, but undated, Great Northern Railway (therefore pre-1923) timetable was on display outside the old station at Alexandra Palace (now a community centre). The service to High Barnet and also part of the Edgware branch (to Mill Hill East only) has now been incorporated into London Underground's Northern Line. Sadly the link from Alexandra Palace to Highgate and Finsbury Park never was (though that was originally the intention). Times have changed and there are plenty of people today who would find such a link of enormous value.

The cover of the last timetable issued by Leeds City Transport. Apologies for it being well used

A bus timetable in Ruislip, outer Western London, and proof that the sparseness of outer-suburban bus services is not unique to Melbourne, but is quite probably a cross-cultural universal.

Last Timetables for Cook's services, 1927 and 1928.

A fairly recent ebay purchase was this 1980s NBC Southern National timetable book. These things are always of interest most notably for the level of service that was provided to the area the company served. It makes for depressing comparisons with 'modern day' services, but overall the vehicle requirement is similar to how things used to be.

Here we see a Bristol VRT outside the King Alfred pub in Burrowbridge.

Most annoyingly, when I was driving buses/coaches in Somerset I regularly used to pass this spot but never once thought to pull over for a photo.

So I wanted to recreate the timetable cover photo in a 2023 setting.

The Farnborough Airshow is a significant event on a large site, which as a basic but functional purpose built bus / coach station on site, which formed the terminus for the day's event.

In keeping with ADBIG's typical attention to detail, the timetable cases at each bus stop were used to show which routes departed from that stop, and surplus timetable cases showed (reproduction) posters from A and D's past - this example shows

top - replacement bus service for closure of the Guildford - Horsham branch railway line, 1965

middle - special service for the 1937 Coronation of King George VI

bottom - introduction of daily 'charabanc' service to London, 1919

These have a new format. No longer East, Central and West, they are labelled B, D, K and T (Bristol, Devon, Cornwall and Thames Valley, it seems; K for Cornwall (Kernow)). The complete set appears here. Base colour is GWR green, 'light' GWR green for route diagram and grey stripe at the top.
