I wanted to do this cartwheel on the beach, but was paranoid about kicking sand on my camera. Luckily, my sister Beth agreed to be a human tripod in the backyard of the rental house.

Did three cartwheels total. I'm so happy I could still do them!

These mechanical timers are rare, but very very neat. These are activated and start running time when you throw a lever back into reverse.

An old wooden spool that has been carved and fitted with an hour-glass type of timer - a gift from my younger daughter some years ago. I can imagine when the spool was full of thread, resident in a mill where cloth was woven. Those would have been very difficult times, now gone forever.
