Alfred Jefferies, 20 years since you left us Dad, You will always be missed. xxxxxxxxxxxxx In Memory of Alfred Edward Jefferies 5-09-32 - 17-12-06,. the man who produced all of the amazing photographs that we have been sharing.

It's 20 years today since he went so here are some of him for a change. Lots were produced with the use of a timer to slow down the shutter just long enough for him to run round the front and get in the shot too :-) I don't know who took the ones of the Sea Scouts but thank you to them, these are some of Dad's younger years so these have other young Brightlingsea Boys in them. Alf down in James' Yard, the photographer on that day was Alf's big Brother John Jefferies. The last from the top of Bateman's Tower, on an ROC Recognition Duty. I have others from the same day including one, of several that were included, in a book written by Paul Brown, 'The Wivenhoe & Brightlingsea Railway'. Today I also received a parcel from the author, Andy Howdle who has just produced an amazing tome of knowledge & stunning photo's of the history of the Hoveringham company, 'The Story of the Mammoth', Andy has included several of Alf's photo's and given him a very kind mention for his service to recording such a varied history in photographs, Thank you Andy.

And Thank you Alf Jefferies for all the lovely memories, You were the BEST DAD xxx

You should have seen my ridiculous setup for these bottle pictures. I had a desk lamp carefully balanced with a sheet of tracing paper taped to a pencil on the lamp to diffuse the light, then I had to set the timer on the camera so I could use my hands to hold reflectors. Oh and I used a stack of books to bring the bottle up to the height for the lamp lol. It looked like I had set up a crazy science experiment in the corner of my room.

It is driving me crazy that the shadow in the back is sloped >.<

Wiecie gdzie można to dostać??

We decided we wanted to do a stopmotion, because I can't do movies.

And so, we did.

Some of it could be a lot smoother. But when you don't have a remote, and the self-timer takes only one picture at once, it's as good as I can prolly get it. ;)

ENJOY!

Creator: Solar AB. "With the right light, this space can be made to feel safe and connected. In the interest of the environment, and to meet demands to conserve resources, the light is only switched on when needed. Modern light sources can provide higher light levels and still consume less energy.

The magnificent trees on each side of the tunnel and road are accentuated by a series of spotlights to generate a 3D effect. The lighting design addresses the theme of nature, giving the rugged design of the tunnel a new lease of life and creating a link to the surrounding landscape. Sit down on the bench in a light summery forest park. Listen to the birds chirping, summer and winter. In the Tunnel of Light, it is always spring and green."

Stage 2 of my "6 Stages of Gaming" sequence. Whaaaa? How the hell..

Camera used (obviously) was a Rebel T2i with an 18-35. Grabbed one of the lamps in my hotel room, stuck it behind the counter in my kitchen, set up a little would-be stand for the camera using some rolled up HDMI cable and set it to timer. An unexpected addition to it was my keyboard lights up and you can adjust the color infinitely, I had it on purple at the moment and didn't realize till after I took the picture that it helped in lighting my rageface.

I got the idea for the sequence of images completely randomly, just popped in my head one night as I was finishing up the new Assassin's Creed (awesome game by the way). My original concept was to just do this RAGGEEE picture, but after I did it started playing around with other things that I've experienced in my entire gaming-influenced life. Really fun sequence to do, I enjoyed it a lot.

Seeley frame will accept narrow case and wide case engines, from 250 to 450cc. Not that there is anything wrong with standard Ducati frames; it's just that sometimes it's nice to do things differently.

Taken at a Garden Railroad open house this past weekend in Hudson IL. The old timer was sitting on a out of service side track.

Wired up all the timers and set them in basement wall for easy access. Low Voltage landscape lighting timer and sprinkler controls. We almost lost the key to the sprinkler controls because it got vacuumed up with everything on the floor. Used a magnet to find it inside the vacuum cleaner stuff

Darek & I went to the Prime Timers of the Desert mixer at The Roost Lounge in Cathedral City this evening. We went up Highway 111 to The Atrium where some of Karen & Tony Barone's cast aluminium dog statues. You can see their work all around the valley...and I'm guessing the world.

We stopped at the end of Sunrise Avenue to take photos of the sunset, and a few other things.

This abandoned gas station is in the middle of the Old Yellowstone Project. Some outside coverup has been stripped to reveal the brand. I remember when it was a going Jessie, as far back as 1957, when I passed through Casper, a year before moving here.
