A corner apartment building I saw on Lafayette St in Manhattan.Sorta fits like puzzle piece in the larger building (or vice versa since the smaller building came first). The Puck Building and the chateau firehouse I showed you are also on Lafayette St which was named after the American Revolution War hero Marquis
du Lafayette.
In the image is my sister (right) and me (left). It was the classic camera on the tripod with a 10s timer and then run (!!!) setup.
What a beautiful evening! Perfect reflections. Perfect sunset. I don't really have much to say about this! Hope you are having a stunning evening wherever you are <3
Polarized light.
Water timer, uses two penguins to indicate time lapse. . When the top one reaches the center, time is up. The water and oil effects the polarizing; results vary each time I shoot it.
South Iceland, the petrified "troll" ship at sunrise, the lens I used is in its death throes, I had it since 2005, it's not a good lens anyway, but it served well until it fell from a bed to a tiled floor in a hotel room in Spain 6 months ago, it's never been the same since, it won't focus if there are any filters, the image stabilizer function is gone, and it won't work with a timer, but fortunately still works with a remote and no filters (sometimes).
ILSX #1359, South Minneapolis' native EMD SW1, is spotted loading hoppers at General Mills on the former Milwaukee Road I&M District. #1359 was built NYC #605 in March of 1939, two years before America's entry into World War 2, predating even some of the 4-8-2 Mohawks built for the NYC during the war. Talk about a seasoned veteran.
The owner doesn't want to use the regular parking place (understandable) and is hiding his car between some old buildings.
LAOWA 10-18mm
A rare find, up in the Lasithi Plateau. Rare too was the amount of snow up there. I wonder what story's you have to share.....
As some of you may know I have now started collaboration with a fellow photographer on you tube , Rich and Gem Wildlife and Landscape. This Sunday you will see us and the gorgeous purple heather in Westleton Suffolk. With all videos a lot of research is needed but in this case me and my little man Patrick explored the area. I have set up my camera on a self timer to take this photo. A relic of a different age and it is not just my hands.
A old-time essential darkroom interval timer, it is still a wonderful thing.
I finding it a difficult task breaking apart my much loved conventional darkroom apart and disposing of all the superb equipment I had bought over the years. Still I have nearly finished now and there has been nothing cathartic about this action at all for me - just the lovely memories.
high raise
High Raise is known as the summit at the exact centre of the Lake District, this distinction gives it a fine viewpoint of all the surrounding mountains and beyond.
That's on a clear day...
Sunday was a mixed weather day, great for walking, not so great for photography...
So here is the Haise Raise trig, behind me you can see the Scafell summit group and cloud boiling aound the summit of Great Gable

I took the photographs of the plastic tree and of myself in the park some summer day in june. it was hot, I was inspired, so I lugged my tripod and a bag full of random things and walked over to the park. the half an hour walk past the jewish council thrift store, past lights, cars. there were children in the park, lovers, homeless men. I walked alone, I shot, dressed like a forest nymph. running across the park grounds. self timer.

ODC-Every Picture Tells A Story
I haven't used my timer for a while. Today I made a big tray of baked potatoes and I like this timer because it has a loud bell when the time is up. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Shot on my trip to Universal Studios, LA in November during the Supermoon.
I did not have my tripod on me as I didnt plan any night photography. I had to make a makeshift tripod of my travel bag and shoot in self timer mode to get the lights of Hogwarts!
Not the most perfect picture but I did it without help. I positioned one hand to keep the pic in focus then set the timer on the camera then put my other hand in the picture before the timer went off. Not easy. Lol
