Cooking Timer and Oven Timer

I used a tripod and timer to get this image of myself. Also had a stand light against a white background. I used both makeup and editing to create this. I wish that I could have made them all edited in the same style but I found that different scenes looked better with slightly different editing but they could have looked more similar.

Sometimes, much of my day is spent in traffic - with music, my thoughts, scenery, waiting, crawling along. I find different landmarks to amuse me. This little building is at the intersection of Broadway @ Kingsway. I often want to photograph it - but am never on foot in that district. Well, crawling along in traffic waiting for the light, my car ended up just slightly back from the building enough for me to shoot the vertical angle. I finally captured it - just as the traffic started to move forward. Timing is everything. This is a gem!

Counting Crows is what I did - the artwork intriques me on this Tuscan Yellow Building.......I don't know what the store is - "Funky town"......

These mechanical timers are rare, but very very neat. These are activated and start running time when you throw a lever back into reverse.

An old wooden spool that has been carved and fitted with an hour-glass type of timer - a gift from my younger daughter some years ago. I can imagine when the spool was full of thread, resident in a mill where cloth was woven. Those would have been very difficult times, now gone forever.
