Walter Roland has never really seen the benefit of diplomacy and subterfuge when it comes to facing down Poluso's many problems. Don't ever take this as a suggestion of diminished intelligence, however, because few are more calculating and coldly logical than Walt in a combat scenario. His skill with the grappling harness he keeps equipped at all times is unparalleled, and a strange medical condition arising from accidental exposure to unrefined sparkstone in his youth has given him above-average strength and near-precognitive reflexes.
Though outwardly gruff and unapproachable, Walt's loyalty to his few friends and his only family runs deep. And while his personality isn't going to win him any favors any time soon, he is quicker than anyone in making sure whoever lays a hand on his comrades will regret it immediately.

I took Vanessa to Schlotzky's for a bite to eat, just before the place closed at 9:00. I had brought my camera and tripod along, in anticipation of taking a few time exposures of the shopping mall in which that particular Schlotzky's is located. (It is about a mile from where we live.) Shutter time for this exposure was 30 seconds. Vanessa stood next to me the entire time, and said the passers-by were all staring at us as if we were crazy; but as I continued adjusting the tripod and camera settings, I said I didn't particularly care.

Aodhán King - Time feat. Lauren Daigle
I heard this song today I feel this song talking to me so beautiful..
One from Swansea Vale Ponds the other day. I was stood watching this swan pulling out and pecking at the reeds investigating them in prep for building a nest
Heavenly shades of night are falling, it's twilight time
Out of the mist your voice is calling “It's twilight time”
When purple colored curtains mark the end of day
I'll hear you, my dear, at twilight time
Deepening shadows gather splendor as day is done
Fingers of night will soon surrender the setting sun
I count the moments darling till your here with me
Together, at last at twilight time
Here in the afterglow of love
We keep our rendezvous beneath the blue
Here in the same and sweet old way
I fall in love again as I did then
Deep in the dark your kiss will thrill me like days of old
Lighting the spark of love that fills me with dreams untold
Each day I pray for evening just to be with you
Together, at last at twilight time
The DeWitt County Legal Time as displayed by this clock on the corner of the town square in Clinton IL. Based on the time stamp of the camera raw image, the camera's clock is about one minute fast based on DeWitt county legal time. I guess that's close enough. :)
TIME OUT Chair is finished. Vitreous glass tile, white grout with latex additive. Front says "TIME OUT", "NO-NO", "BE GOOD LITTLE CHILDREN", and "HOT SEAT'. Sides say 'QUIET', and 'MIND ME'. Back says " BEHAVE', and "I SEE YOU'. I used bright colors and patterns to make interesting for the little users.
A group of buildings on Broad Quay, Bristol, seen on Wednesday 7th March 1973. Looming behind them on the left is the former head office of the Bristol & West Building Society, built in 1967 and now, I understand, converted to some other use. The City Council had granted permission for a future extension of the Bristol & West on a set-back kerb line because it wanted to widen the road. For this little rank it was only a matter of time.
At the far end are the premises of Tratman & Lowther, a long-established sailmaker and ships' provisioner. The building was demolished during August and September. A year after the photo was taken only the Garrick's Head public house was left. It had been built in 1902 to an engaging design by Edward Gabriel. "It is no easy thing to design a good pub", wrote Professor Gomme, "and none of Gabriel's contemporaries made much of their chances. ...by judicious surface elaboration ...he gave a dash of swagger without brashness". The professor describes the building as "jettied", but it looks to me as though the frontage is all in one plane from top to bottom, with the illusion of jetties created by the heavy cornices at the floor levels. The first floor windows, in which only the centres are bowed, are apparently called "Paul Pindar" windows. I love architectural vocabulary and Professor Gomme refers to the band of relief decoration above each of the second floor Venetian windows as a "semi annulus". John Winstone avers that the pub was demolished in 1980, but I'm surprised that it survived so late.
In its late years the Garrick's Head had the reputation of a "queers' pub". For my first employer, starting in 1966, I used to make deliveries to both Tratman & Lowther and Lewis's, the tobacconist and confectioner at the opposite end of the rank. The man behind the counter was an elderly homosexual. This became evident, even to someone as naïve as I was, when he addressed to me ...a rather pretty youth... a number of suggestions of a kind that would now be described as "inappropriate". Lewis's was a chain with branches throughout the city ...in fact there was another on the opposite side of the Centre. I think the firm morphed into Lewis-Meeson a few years later. The illuminated advertisement hoarding must have belonged to Wills's; at one time it promoted Bristol cigarettes. The poster at the side of Lewis's advertises Silk Cut at 31p for twenty. The scaffolding on the right would have been associated with the demolition of the CWS building.
David O'Neal, owner of Downpoint Decoy Shop in Ocracoke Island, reflects on the lifetime he has spent living in the southernmost Outer Banks town. Born in 1951, the retired U.S. Coast Guard found his niche buying, selling and trading antique decoys. Decades later, O'Neal laments about how fast the years are passing, and longs for slower, more familiar times.
