Cavemen searched for fire. They quested for it. They killed for it and they did whatever they could to keep it going once they found it. I live in 2013 and all that is a waste of time. I create fire by turning a knob. If I had this kind of power 80,000 years ago I would be a force to be reckoned with. Get on Netflix now and watch the movie Quest For Fire. It's like watching a history text book. The only thing the movie lacks is me kicking ass in a paleolithic society. Where is Doc Brown when you need him?

Took Mark's suggestion and had a little play with it in Photoshop to add the tilt and shift effect, the policemen look like they're in a model village!
Liked the backlighting while he was sitting on the summit. Nothing like the golden light rimming his fluffy white fur.
Sorry for the exposure issues (if you get my drift).
hey caney, a little modesty please.

It's not just after five somewhere. It's after five right here!
This drink is for several reasons:
1.) For my friend Tiltandshift. I can't be there to share it with you, but I wish I were. Stay warm this weekend.
b.) I came several steps closer to actually having a real career today. For those of you in graduate school or just out and serving time as postdoctoral fellows, here's to you.
III.) I love scotch.

Meet Mr. Clarke. He stands here before you demonstrating the proper way to hold a weapon in preparation for combat action. Clearly this is not his first rodeo. Due to the horrible situation escalating on Tau Volantis he will be up all night taking care of business. I will be up all night supervising him to ensure that no necromorphs go unpunished. There will be no sleep.

A change of tac (if you pardon the boating pun) from my last postings. This is a shot of Whitstable Harbour in Kent. I've given the shot an underexposed look and converted to mono with a slight tilt/shift effect. I wanted to give the shot a cold and grim feel which I'm sure on some days, the workers in and around the harbour feel from time to time.
