Tiger Kingdom Chiang Mai

This tiger cub kept stalking me, little did it know that it was actually me stalking it.

This male was tired after being chased for over 5 km. We hadnt seen a tiger until now so we decided to see the "Show". :(

I LOVE tigers!!! How beautiful is this guy!?! He was a little silly though cause he had his tongue hanging out of his mouth the whole time I was there, usually much more than it is here.

Tamron 200mm f/3.5 Auto (70's)

Sold Olympus OM-D E-M5, bought a Sony a6000. Both the camera and bundled free Capture One Express (only works with Sony raw files) feel like a HUGE improvement!

I really enjoy visiting the Amur tiger section at Longleat, as I find them extremely beautiful animals. The tigers at Longleat are well looked after, and the zoo keepers are very good at feeding times as they occasionally hide the meat in the branches of trees so that when the tigers are let into their enclosure they have to search for their food.

Amur tigers are fully mature and able to mate from 4 years of age. Their cubs are born small, helpless and blind and depend on their mother for safety and for the mother’s milk. Tiger cubs grow very fast and will be almost 4 times their original size after just one month.

The Amur tiger is also known as the Siberian tiger, and are considered to be the largest of all of the big cats. They have many stripes; however no two tigers have the same stripe pattern. Amur tigers are now protected by law in the wild and are linked to conservation projects

Tiger.

I spent a half-day at the Assiniboine Park Zoo here in Winnipeg photographing the critters with a household friend, Josh. He was up from the States for the Folk Festival. His hobby is zoo photography and it was fun to go along with him.

Rocky the Siberian tiger at the Cape May County Zoo in Cape May, New Jersey. He was lying down, when all of a sudden he hopped up and stared intently at someone passing by his exhibit. We watched as Rocky remained totally focused on this person and followed him as he passed the exhibit. This did not seem to be a playful stalk but an "I want to eat you" stalk. The person was not a child -maybe he was the zoo veterinarian?

Tigers playing at Point Defiance Zoo

Didn't realise I could use the Fractulius plug-in with photoshop elements, now I've downloaded it I've been trawling through photos to see how I can apply the filter. Not to everyone's taste I'm sure, but I quite like the images it produces.

Mike the Tiger - LSU's Live Bengal Mascot.

Plenty of challenges in shooting this big guy today. First, it was very overcast and not much light. Then, he would not stop pacing. I think it's because LSU got placed in UNC's bracket and would have to play them in the 2nd round...so the pacing is understandable. And finally, I was shooting thru 2 layers of heavy-duty fencing, which is probably a good trade-off!

Asian tigers at Disney Animal Kingdom. They only have female tiges there, I was quite surprised to find out from one of the staff there that they are not part of any breeding programme. Magificent looking cats Tigers are a personal favourite of mine
