Tick drags with a weighted piece of felt or flannel can be used to monitor for ticks. After walking through an area with the tick drag in direct contact with vegetation, the number, identity and life stage of ticks on the drag cloth are counted. Keeping track of time. Suzi got on the phone with the nurse to nail down the "what do we need to do's" and I tracked her contractions as she called them out to me from the warm bath. Suzi has always been strong and it was a new experience for me to see her in the pain she was in. It was the good kind of hurt I think.

I have been "messing" around trying stuff, I'm not to happy with this because of the poor lighting, but for one of my close shots I like the focus, which I normally get all messed up lol !!
This 280 seat Midtown Manhattan diner opened in 1997 at 481 8th Avenue (corner of 34th Street), across the street from Penn Station. I really like the name of this place and their colorful sign really catches the eye! I ate breakfast here one day and it was really good! Great home style cooking!

Female Moose (Alces alces) with Winter Tick (Dermacentor albipictus) damage - Moose Wilson Road between Teton Park Road and Whitegrass Ranch Road, Jackson, Wyoming (43.653711, -110.740555)
The missing fur is not due to tick bites, but is a result of the itching caused by tick bites, that results in a loss of fur due to the Moose constantly licking and biting at the ticks.
Sadly, fur loss due to the itching can result in body heat loss and death due to hypothermia during unusually cold winters.
Every concert I've ever been to.. well not counting the ones I dont have a ticket for. these were my teenage years.. the money saved, the time I waited for the show, the durring and after... it was all worth it.

I guess it didn't help that he was actually rolling around in the grass! Having a young dog is definitely keeping me young and bringing back memories from childhood, traipsing around in the woods and tall grass and coming home with ticks and poison ivy. Romeo and I have been coming home with ticks the past three weekends, and I despise the little blood suckers more than anything...even more than spiders and snakes, but having to get them off as quickly as possible is helping me overcome my fear of them. When I was little, I always ran screaming to my mom or dad. And I had a really nasty case of poison ivy on my arm for the past couple of weeks and had fun telling everyone that it was flesh eating bacteria!
