As an experiment, Ryan took a tick and put it in a specimen jar. It exploded into a whole bunch of eggs. We are still waiting for them to hatch.

Tick, probably Ixodes ricinus, the Sheep Tick, Deer Tick or Castor Bean Tick, larva, feeding on my left thigh. Acquired from Woodwalton Fen NNR, Ramsey Heights, Cambridgeshire on July 20, 2023, photographed at home just prior to extraction. I'm pleased to say it came out alive, intact and crawling and lived out the remainder of its days crawling around inside a plastic specimen pot.
Lothian 347 gets ticked off the list seen loading up on Princes Street whilst on a service 22 to Gyle Centre. 16th December 2014.

This one-act play follows a group of women and men in a medical waiting room that begin feeling isolated, bored and anxious but eventually come together in exuberant song and dance. Marcia Cebulska (playwright) is best known to Kansans for her play Now Let Me Fly, commissioned for the national celebration of the Brown v. Board 50th anniversary and Through Martha’s Eyes, a film broadcast on national public television. Darren Canady (director) is a Topeka High alum who currently teaches playwriting at University of Kansas and has had his own work produced nationally. Eleanor Goudie-Averill (choreographer) grew up in Topeka, teaches at Temple University, and dances and choreographs in New York City and Philadelphia.
This is a garden clock hanging at my son's home, in his back garden (yard). Counting down the hours until Sunday!!

Ticks are small arachnids in the order Ixodida. Along with mites, they constitute the subclass Acarina. Ticks are ectoparasites (external parasites), living by hematophagy on the blood of mammals, birds, and sometimes reptiles and amphibians. Ticks are vectors of a number of diseases, including Lyme disease, Q fever (rare; more commonly transmitted by infected excreta),[1] Colorado tick fever, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, African tick bite fever, tularemia, tick-borne relapsing fever, babesiosis, ehrlichiosis, Tick paralysis and tick-borne meningoencephalitis, as well as bovine anaplasmosis.
