Last night while cruising past Louisville, KY at ~27,000ft, we skirted a massive line of powerful thunderstorms. The lightning was high intensity and continuous for a good 20 minutes.
Some severe thunderstorms came through the Wichita, KS area today. We decided to go storm chasing and try to find our tornado. There were tornado warnings in the area, but we never did see our elusive tornado. We did see torrential rain, marble-sized hail, and high winds though.
En route from Bourges to Cannes there were some big CBs to avoid. The turbocharged arrow made climbing above the clouds easy.

Snapped it on the way home from work. I'd waited out the first band of storms and decided to make a dash before the second band hit. I couldn't frame a good shot of it from my position, but as I left the office, I could see the previous band of cloud on the east, blue sky above me, and the next band of thunderstorms rolling in from the west.
Just south of Minneapolis, Kansas. We outran this thunderstorm for about 20 minutes and it then caught up.
This is my first ever successful capture of the lightning during a storm :)

Strong Thunderstorm moves across the Northwoods of Wisconsin on July 18 2017. Although the storms weren't Severe in all areas, some damage was noted across the area.
Unusual weather in the form of lightning/thunderstorms came through my area in San Jose, CA. Nearly constant lightning, about every 30 seconds there's a lightning flash/strike was observed by the storm cells. This was unusual for September as well. Although these were thunderstorms, they were unusually dry. Red flag warnings were issued throughout Northern California this evening and would be in effect until Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 5pm due to very low humidity and potential for dry thunderstorms during this period.
