This week's Flickr #TBT theme is #Travel.
Whether you soar through the clouds in a G6 or you keep it retro and walk, travel is one of the more enjoyable ways to gain perspective in the world.
Share your favorite Travel photo on Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, or via carrier pigeon, and we’ll show our favorite selections next week on the Flickr Blog.

This week we are going back sixteen years to 2009, and to RV 551 arriving into Balbriggan with a service on route 33.
CIE took over operation of this route from the GNR(I) in 1958, and it is still operated by Dublin Bus to this day. The route connects the city centre with Skerries, going via Swords, Lusk and Rush. Certain departures are extended to / from Balbriggan, and it is the most northerly route in the Dublin city network.
RV 551 was new to Dublin Bus in 1999. It was withdrawn in 2012, and sold on to an operator in the United Kingdom. It was still operating there until at least 2022.

How long has it been since I did one of these? Uh... Too long. :P
So, I got another picture and another story, once again about the LEGO Gallery. (If you guys get tired of hearing about that, just let me know. xP Maybe I'll do a throwback Thursday thing that isn't LEGO related sometime.)
Anyway, if you were on the Gallery it didn't take you long to hear about a little MMO called LEGO Universe. It was so popular there you wouldn't even believe. There were all kinds of veterans and even people who never got the chance to play! I can't tell you how many petitions to bring back the game I saw. (Probably somewhere around 6, actually. :P) Now, you probably already tell by the picture that I too was a fan of the game. (Even if I never played it.)
I made this picture back in January of 2017 to show off my MOC. Looking back, it seems I've improved my editing skills a bit. Like, the erasing could've been a tad smoother and I added one too many lense flares. But I still like how it turned out.
If you are unaware that shadowy dude there is the Darkitect, the most feared Villain on the gallery. (Who got taken down in multiple fan stories. :P) And my sig-fig is manning an imaginite cannon in the middle of a mealstrom storm! (Maelstrom was evil purple smoke stuff, I'm not just being redundant.)
So yeah, that's that. Tune in next week to see if I remember this is a thing I do. :P

Another throwback to my holiday and again seems such a shame not to show it. 💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋
Throwing it back to seven years ago with my first Mavic Pro camera drone and my first trip to Goblin Valley. What an amazing place to visit!
I really can't believe how much has changed since this photo was taken. This was taken during H2O weekend of 2010 and it was also the first time that I met Mike Barry. I also met John Quay the day before this. John no longer has this car and Mike Barry's car is totally different as well. I never thought that when this photo was taken, almost 2 years later Mike and I would be working on a blog of our own together. It's times like these that make me so happy to be a part of such a great group of enthusiasts and gets me excited enough to travel long distances just to reunite with old friends and meet new ones.
Lilies at Hillwood Museum back in May. It's been really hot and/or raining a lot so I haven't done much photography lately.
GP60's used to roam the Lurgan pretty regularly, often running in threes or fours on hotshot intermodal trains between Altanta and Northern New Jersey. Since I started shooting the Lurgan regularly I've only managed to nab one up front, with most of the type running trains down south over the last six years. Thanks to a bad horn on the SD70ACe leading NS 747, NS 7120 had to be put on the front between Shenandoah, VA and Harrisburg, PA.
Throw back to that time three years ago when my friend Scott N and I visited the Salt Flats. The beauty and stillness of the place has never left me.
Not really all that long ago, but long enough that the power and signals can no longer be replicated at this location. WBD CP train on Elgin Sub at Elmwood Park, IL. Taken in the early to mid-2000's.
Messing around with different lantern looks. I used the Aquatic Ironman suit for most of him... tried re-creating his hover glider too. I'll post a full pic of what that looks like soon.
Remembering when there was lots of colour around!

It's 90s all over again!
I was lucky enough to obtain both Roboforce figs from a local seller (try finding them in Europe!). All three Hydronauts were also there so I did not hesitate even for a second - turned the latter into a female crew as I've been itching to use those hair pieces. Also BW guns for everyone!
I think I will use most of these parts for some custom characters, but I thought they are worthy of a post for nostalgia's sake.
Whether you're into old cars, black & white or trains, this photo should grab some sort of interest.
Chicago & Eastern Illinois GP-7 #230 pauses on the house track at Momence, Illinois in April of 1965. Switchman Del Sommers is seen walking through the shot. The depot is at right.
C&EI GP7 #230 was built by EMD in August of 1951. Was later renumbered as MP #1634 and then later #634.

This week we are going back thirty-two years to 1994 and to RH 137 at Dublin Airport dressed for route 230.
Route 230 started running between Dublin Airport and Malahide, going via Swords, in March 1991. Three months later the route was extended to Portmarnock. In March 2008 the route was merged with route 102 (which operated between Sutton and Seabury), with the combined route from Dublin Airport to Sutton being designated route 102.
RH 137 was new to Dublin Bus in 1992. In 2005 it became a driver trainer bus, but was sold in 2006 to another Irish operator. It then spent many years as an open-top tour bus in Dublin.
This part of Dublin Airport is now served by Dublin Express coaches, with Dublin Bus using the bus stops beyond the multi-storey car park, near the airport church.
