Hi everybody and a great Friday morning to all and to all a great weekend.
In a word describing my visit with my daughter.....( DISASTER )......as soon as she got her my wife Tested Positive for Covid, so my daughter being the way she is changed her plans a flew back to New York the very next day, protecting he family, so that's how it's been here in the Kominsky house hold, things are looking up and am sure it will get better it has to at this point, it could not go any lower for sure.
Thanks to all for everything, your patience and friendship and understanding.
As we walk through Rattlesnake Canyon in Arizona, we twist and turn our bodies to accommodate the ever changing walls.
California towhee
While this is a common rather dull bird in California and the photo is not stellar, I couldn't help but post this as it is a perfect demonstration of the phrase "jumping through hoops".
Blooming water lily in the Aquatic Plants exhibit in the Conservatory of Flowers at Strybing Arboretum in Golden Gate Park. Full disclosure, this area of the Arboretum was so hot and humid, that my lens fogged over immediately. The volunteer at the entrance had told me about the one flowering water lily (she saw me coming a mile away), so I made a b-line and got one shot.

And last but not least, I want to dedicate this image to wbgold, who wrote me a wonderful testimonial.
Sampson in Mark Burnham Provincial Park. Please view large to see that big brown eye peeking through. Dreaming of gorgeous green Thursdays :) Have a great day!
My post for tomorrow folks and again due to a very early shoot. Have a great evening, and a great day and thank you so very much for visiting.
And finally one on a post instead of a wire.
In this haunting landscape the viewer is drawn into a twisted path flanked by grotesque, gnarled trees. The road winds through an eerie forest, where each tree appears to writhe in silent agony, their twisted forms creating a claustrophobic tunnel of shadows. The oppressive atmosphere is palpable, as if the very air is thick with the weight of forgotten sorrows and lost souls. The monochromatic palette enhances the sense of desolation, transforming the scene into a surreal nightmare.

I hiked up through Asdøljuvet a couple of weeks ago. The 'path' is actually seen here on the right. You have to cross the creek several times and the rocks get more and more slippery higher up ;-)
The late evening light managed to get into the gorge here and there, illuminating the spring greens.
This image is actually a very wide panoramic of 3 horizontal 14 mm images.

A Southern Pacific CSUX coal empty climbs through the “S curves” at Crater, Colorado, on the afternoon of July 30, 1996. The head end with lone SP AC4400CW No. 298 has already passed through the cut that is visible at the top of the photo. Mid-train DPUs Nos. 217 and 371 climb between the curves in the middle, while rear DPUs follow below with Nos. 361 and 226.
It's always nice to see these guys folks especially when eating and a mouthful of goodies.
Thanks as always for stopping by and for all the very kind words, much appreciated.
Spotted this beautiful gate on a street in my Mom's area! Have a great day everyone, Happy Texture Tuesday!
Seen most days now, often perched on my rain gauge.
It has a habit of leaving me 'messages' in it. We will have words!
One might think this photo is edited. Not so, not the moon, but the sun through a morning fog that was lifting. Strange to be able to view the sun with the naked eye A great moment lasting only a few minutes. Not a beautiful morning sunrise, but an interesting one.
Thanks for the visit!!
