Then we boarded the train

that will lead us through the year 2017

No one knows what lies around the next bend

But whatever the starting point is, grab the days as well as possible.

See the possibilities rather than the limitations,

make the impossible possible.

Say that you love ....

Caring for others

Take a coffee break with a friend

Although you may not really have time

Say something positive to yourself every day,

and meet others with a smile and a positive word.

Take care of yourself

and others as well as you can;)

May our journey through the year 2017 be a nice trip for us all :)

A local barn owl (Tyto alba) hunting in the snow last week

I had headed to the road to take some foggy morning photos, hoping to catch a truck passing, but when I saw the sun beginning to break through the clouds, I turned my attention back toward the property.

Wisconsin & Southern's Madison bound freight, L864, rolls into Lodi Wisconsin on this comfortable spring morning. Not far behind the power, one can see the tell tails that would protect brakemen from being knocked off of the top of freight cars, by ropes that would brush them and alert about a low clearance ahead.

Looking west through the Golden Gate from China Beach.

A beautiful day in San Francisco, but the fog bank is just out there on the horizon waiting to roll in.

I would really like to start taking more images like this.

Sensational Saturday to you my friend.

Bursting Through The Hedge. When I saw this sprout bursting through the top of the hedge I thought of how each of us can enter our unique path and not necessarily align with societal norms.

Good evening everyone and just wanting to say that this series will be of 3 images to attest to the ability of the camera to follow focus, much faster and more accurate than I can ever be.

Have a wonderful evening everyone, thank you also for visiting and commenting and also very much appreciated.

PERKY LITTLE WARBLER,,that frequently cocks its tail up at an angle, was over the moon to see them back in late April, a image not shown before. It is a all year round resident, found mainly in the south, hope you enjoy it.

It was raining during the day so we managed to get this picture through some drops in one of the windows next to St. Pauls cathedral.

Thank you all for your appreciation.

A RARE DAYLIGHT ENCOUNTER, a Manx Shearwater, is a true sea bird, and only comes back to underground caves to breed in the hours of darkest night, to avoid the gulls. Anyone visiting Skomer, Skokholm, or Bardsey Island, will have seen the skeletal remains of these birds but never get the chance to see one. This one from a previous trip was found near to the old farmhouse on Skomer, so it was fairly safe from the gulls, On the ground they can only slowly Wadel, as their webbed feet are meant for their life at sea.. My only daylight sighting of one in many stays on these Islands.

THANK YOU for your visit and friendship, please leave a comment, and I will soon be doing the same to your lastest posting. Enjoy your new week, God bless...........Tomx

A Trabant bursting through the wall from East Germany .. very symbolic of those times and a very good image on the wall at the East Side Gallery.

The East Side Gallery is the longest remaining stretch of original Berlin Wall and is now a display canvas for many artists. When viewing these we are standing in what would one have been the East German 'Death Zone', the deadly strip of land between East and West.

Another through the window shot. Keep on smiling ;0)

A bit of a mood change ;)

Sunlight through the trees ....

I've got a smartphone now, and I use the camera when I'm out and about. Then I realised it's been so long since I have used my Sony RX100, which used to be my 'go to' general camera. So I decided to bring it back into use! The original came out in 2012 and was a revolution in pocket cameras. And I'm pleased to say the quality is still all there!

Happy Monochrome Thursday 😊

A very early shoot tomorrow folks, leaving at 4:30-a.m. that is unheard of, so my post for tomorrow is here.

Have a great day and thank you so very much for visiting.

I should also mention folks and something you all know is that I continue to see only one image per contact, and that there is no one over looked, ever.

As Photographers sometimes we see life through the lens in this image we have my Caso Exlim Camera taking my Fuji camera taking another Casio Camera..... it is keeping my Photography in perspective

TUBE NOSTRILS, puts the fulmar, with the family of the shearwaters and petrels, not a gull, to watch these birds with stiffly held wings and effortless gliding action, captured from the top of the cliffs at Northforland Margate, Kent. U.K are a joy to watch, they nest in the chalk cliffs. Please zoom in to see the tube nose! (110 cm in length)

Almost to its destination at St. Paul Yard, CP 240 heads through crackheadville, dodging between tree shadows. It was pretty quiet in the cities on this afternoon, so this ended up being the only train I shot in the area on Saturday, can't complain too much with this train though.

If you saw what this guy had to go through and not touching a twig or branch doing it was just remarkable.

There is a who,e series of this guy and the agility and form that he displayed was awesome, wish I knew how to do video.

Thanks to all for everything.
